🐝WORKING BEE TODAY!

A massive thanks to the aprox 30 Wauchope Tennis Club & Pickleball members who showed up & volunteered to help out today at our working bee!🐝 👏🏼👏🏼

Thanks for weeding, cleaning out the gutters, digging, spraying, gurney ing, shovelling, sweeping, brushing, sorting, trimming, tidying, rotary cleaning, sraping, & washing up, just to name a few!
And for working together as a team to spruce up our clubhouse,& surrounds!

A social game of pickle ball, drinks & nibbles followed!

We are so proud of our club community that we have here at Wauchope! 🩷🤍💙

🐝 WORKING BEE TODAY!

We have our working bee on today from 12 pm, followed by a social hit, drinks & nibbles.

If you can spare some time please come along & support our club.

Our normal Pop Up Sat pickle session is not on today.

WORKING BEE 🐝 this Saturday
Starts 12 midday

Just a friendly reminder that we have our club working bee next Sat 19th Sept at 12pm onwards ahead of our club championships which are coming up quickly.

Please advise if you are able to help out... Many hands make light work.

Here is the list of jobs that have been identified that need attention:

Pickleball
🐝Clean Pickleball courts with pressure washer
🐝Replace the current pickleball nets with the new ones and add the new sponsor signage from Tahlee Ply Ltd to the nets.
🐝Clean out the Pickleball shed
W**ding of pickleball courts, clean up around the sandbags ( sand, dirt leaves etc)

Clubhouse
🐝Cut fig tree roots out of kids play area (Nath will bring chainsaw and shovels)
🐝Spray weeds and Re-mulch the play area - Purchase 1 cubic metre of soft fall bark (Nath will pick up in his trailer)
🐝Check the old equipment that is laying around in the clubhouse, cull broken items, and find a home for the rest.
🐝Sort Lost Property and organise to take to op shop
🐝Remove broken Zip Hot water heater in Kitchen.
🐝Clean out court yard gutter

Tennis
🐝Spray for mould 1 week prior to Working Bee (done by Aaron)
🐝Use Byabarra Tennis Club Scraper to remove mould
🐝Clean and W**d Tennis courts and drain as required
🐝Fix the door to Court 3/4 - currently has a lock under the door to raise it up... (Jacob looking into a solution for this)

Drinks and nibbles provided for the workers and free court time for anyone who wants a social hit afterwards.

We hope to see many members there!

BARRINGTON COAST REGIONAL DOUBLES PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT

📣 Congratulations to all the Wauchope Tennis Club and Pickleball members who competed in the Barrington Coast Regional Doubles Tournament held at Taree’s Iron Arena on the weekend.

CLARENCE CUP PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT

Congratulations to Wauchope Tennis club and Pickleball members Faye & Sophie, for receiving a bronze medal, and Rikki (& partner Megan ) for receiving a gold medal in the recent Clarence Cup Pickleball Tournament ! 🥇🥈

📣CHANGES TO OUR REGULAR PICKLEBALL PROGRAM FOR THIS WEEK!

🏓 This Friday 11th Coach Aaron will be hosting a POP UP Training & Play Session

⏰9-11am.

💵 Members $20
💵Non Members $25

Skills & drills for 1 hour, then social play for 1 hour.
All our regular social players are most welcome! 🤗

🏓 Saturday 12th the Club will be hosting a POP UP Social Pickleball session.

⏰9-11am

💵 Members $10
💵 Non Members $15

This session is open to ALL SKILL LEVELS.

Come and have some pickle fun! 🤩

RESULTS OF THE AUSTRALIAN MASTERS CUP -PICKLEBALL 2026! 🤩🤩🤩🤩

WTC & P Committee member & participating player Deb Wilson has privided the following summary of the National Finals held recently in Sydney.

What a great weekend of pickleball at the Australian Masters Cup National titles.
NSW won the cup! 🏆

A true reflection of the camaraderie with my 70+ NSW team members and the other age groups as well.
Us oldies were given heaps of encouragement – ‘just keep going’, ‘we can’t do it without you’.

Our team had members from Lennox Head, Woy Woy, Pickleball in the Park (Ryde).

The AMC was the culmination of weeks playing at club level and then regionals in Grafton and State finals in Sydney.

WTC Pickleball was represented by Deb Wilson 70+, Lucy Kowalewski played 50+ for Victoria and won gold, Deb McKenzie played for 60+ for South Australia and Joe Vostinar played 70+ for Tasmania, not just one position but 2 positions.
Well done Joe!👏🏼👏🏼

I absolutely loved this team atmosphere and format as it highlighted all the best things about pickleball.

We played with people we just met, cheered for each other and there was such great sportsmanship.
All this with rally scoring made the games much more exciting.

Playing a team tie breaker or ‘dreambreaker’ as it is sometimes called was stressful but so exhilarating!

This is the type of pickleball we can bring back to the club, getting everyone involved in socially competitive pickleball.

Thank you to everyone for the personal messages with words of support and congratulations.

We have such wonderful caring members in our club.

Last night Wauchope Tennis Club & Pickleball received their certificate for the Regional Australia Bank Community Partnership Program.

In the year 2025/2026 the program earned our Club $343.93.

We thank everyone who has opened or switched to a Community Partnership Account with Regional Australia Bank and chose Wauchope Tennis Club as their community group.
