When Heath first started with Active Heroes, he was very quiet and pretty timid. Over time, through building friendships with his teammates and feeling part of the Active Heroes family, we have watched his confidence grow so much.
Heath is now super confident, loves having a dance and a laugh with his teammates, and gives every drill and challenge a good go. It has been amazing to see him come out of his shell and really enjoy being part of the team.
Outside of Active Heroes, Heath has been flying for five years and has trained solidly for most of this year in preparation for the 2026 Australian Open. Working closely with his partner/instructor, he has learnt and developed the skills and manoeuvres required to compete at a national level.
Along the way, Heath has had some incredible opportunities, including being interviewed on radio, featured in a local government magazine and on Channel 7 News, as well as meeting the Mayor of Logan.
At the 2026 Australian Open, Heath entered three divisions and placed in all three, bringing home:
🥇 1 Gold
🥈 1 Silver
🥉 1 Bronze
We are incredibly proud of Heath, not only for what he has achieved, but for the confidence, friendships and personal growth we have seen in him.
The support from everyone around him, including his Active Heroes teammates and community, has meant so much. When Heath read the card sent to him, he knew he had a whole team back home supporting and cheering him on.
Heath’s journey is a great example of what Active Heroes is all about — building confidence, friendships, belonging and giving our players the opportunity to believe in themselves both on and off the field.

We hosted our very first event 🏉
We had a purpose, a vision, and were led by faith…and we executed! Seeing the smiles on the faces of our athletes, families and teams was beyond anything we expected.🏆
