CONGRATULATIONS | We are proud to celebrate Mr Chad Wooding and YR9 student Jaden W following an outstanding result at the State Futsal Championships in Cairns.

Mr Wooding coached the Met East 13–14 Years Boys’ Futsal Team, with Jaden proudly representing both Met East and Redlands College. The team dominated the competition, finishing undefeated in first place across all nine games and scoring an impressive 69 goals while conceding just 15.

An exceptional achievement by Mr Wooding, Jaden and the entire team!

Staff v Student | Basketball & Volleyball games🏀🏐

🏀Basketball
It was a tough day Wednesday on the court for the Staff, who were not only outnumbered, with '0' subs were also outclassed by a confident Student team! 😅 The Students put on a fantastic display, securing a convincing 32–15 victory. 🏆👏🏻

With plenty of cheering from the sidelines, great energy and a fantastic atmosphere, it was another brilliant chapter in our Staff v Student rivalry!

🏐Volleyball
Volleyball proved to be a challenge for the Staff today, taking on Students who actually play the sport, against a staff team still trying to work out where the ball was going! 😂🏐

With the student cohort cheering loudly for their peers, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the Staff did their best to keep up, even managing the occasional good shot! 💪🏻👏🏻

After two entertaining games, it finished one game all! The Staff certainly kept things interesting and showed they weren’t going down without a fight! 😄

Well played, Students 😄🥳 Staff enjoyed the camaraderie! Until next time✌🏻✌🏻

A week of new experiences, great effort and valuable competition for our Junior and Primary teams!

🏉 AFL
What a fantastic start for our Junior and Primary AFL teams, winning every game played! It was an exciting milestone for our students as they took to the field for their first ISC AFL matches. A brilliant start, and we look forward to seeing our teams continue to grow in the competition.

🏸 Badminton
Our Badminton teams faced a very competitive opposition this week. While the results didn't fall our way, our students gained valuable match experience and an opportunity to learn, develop and build on their skills.

SENIOR SPORT | Park Care Initiative🪏🌳

We’re excited to see our new Service Group in action as part of the Wednesday Sport and Pathways program for our Year 9–12 students during Periods 5 and 6.

With around 34 students involved, the group is built around a simple purpose: to serve wherever we can and look for opportunities to make a positive difference in our College and wider community.

Last week, students headed to Three Paddocks Park to take part in park care, helping to care for and maintain our local environment.

This initiative will see students participate in bush care, visit an aged care home and bake treats in our Food Technology space to bless others in the community.

We’re proud to see our students putting service into action, developing a heart for others and discovering the difference they can make through even the simplest acts of kindness. 💚Making a Difference Through Service.

Thank you Redlands City Council for partnering with us🥳

ISC AFL Gala Day |🏉 AFL Makes Its ISC Debut!

History was made on Wednesday at Wynnum Vikings AFL Club as AFL featured for the first time in ISC competition! Our girls kicked goals with a fantastic 108–54 win over Citipointe, while the boys were equally impressive, winning both matches against Citipointe and MBBC.

A fantastic start for AFL at Redlands, and we look forward to seeing the ISC competition grow as more schools get involved! 👏

Staff v Student | Netball Match🏐

The Staff were on fire in Wednesday’s Staff v Student Netball clash! 🔥 With the crowd cheering them on and a fantastic atmosphere on court, the Staff took control early, leading 14–4 at half-time before extending their lead in the second half to secure a convincing 28–9 victory! 🏆

The Students gave it their best shot, but the Staff were simply too strong on the day! 😄👏🏻

One win down, another great contest in the books! Who’s ready for the next challenge? 💪🏻🥳

Next up, we’ll be back on the field in Week 3 for the Staff v Student Touch Football match. Get those boots on — the Staff are ready for another win! 🏉🔥

Staff v Student | Cricket 2-dayer🏏

Test-match energy was in the air on Tuesday as our two-day cricket match came to a close! The Students put up a fight, but the Staff held their nerve, putting 45 runs on the board to secure the victory! 🏆

A fantastic contest filled with strong sportsmanship, good-natured rivalry and plenty of laughs along the way.

Good effort, Students 👏🏻 … but not good enough! 😄🥳💪🏻
