CrossFit isn’t the problem. Your idea of it is.

For years, CrossFit has been labelled as too intense, too hard, or only for elite athletes. But the reality is very different.

CrossFit is simply functional movements performed at an intensity appropriate for YOU. Every workout can be scaled, every movement can be modified, and every person can start exactly where they are.

You don’t need to be fit to start. You don’t need to lift heavy weights. You don’t need to compete.

What you do need is a willingness to show up, learn, and be a little better than you were yesterday.

CrossFit isn’t about being the fittest person in the room. It’s about building strength, improving health, gaining confidence, and becoming more capable for everyday life.

The problem isn’t CrossFit. The problem is the misconception of what CrossFit actually is.

This year we celebrated 14 years as a CrossFit affiliate.🎉

Over those 14 years, we’ve achieved so much as a community, and we thought it was the perfect time to take a trip down memory lane and reflect on where it all began and how far we’ve come.

From humble beginnings training out of a garage, to fitting out our own purpose-built facility. From competing alongside athletes such as Tia-Clair Toomey and Rich Froning, to the countless dress-ups, events, celebrations, friendships, and memories made along the way.

The workouts have changed, the equipment has evolved, and the community has grown, but the heart of what we do has remained the same.

Here’s just a small glimpse into 14 incredible years of CrossFit Boss/Chaalk Box. 🫶🏼

We can explain the workout 17 times, write it on the whiteboard, demo every movement and hand out a printed copy…
Someone will still ask: “How many reps?” Or “What are we doing?” 😂
