WHAT A SEASON, REDBACKS.
Before we put the boots away for the year, it is worth stopping to look at what this club just did.
We stepped up into a higher competition and all three of our sides made the finals. Our Second Grade men went the whole way, beating Narromine Gorillas Rugby Club 23-17 to be crowned premiers. First Grade and our Women's XV both earned their place in the finals, finishing fourth, before being knocked out in the Minor Semi-Final and Qualifying Final respectively.
Off the field, the numbers tell their own story. We went from 29 registered players in 2025 to 89 this season. Thirty of those were women pulling on the maroon for our Women's XV, who fought their way through to a preliminary final. And we are not finished. In 2027 we add a Colts side, giving our young players a genuine pathway into senior rugby at their own club.
None of it happens without the people around it. Thank you to our volunteers and committee, who quietly do the work every week. To our supporters, who turn up home and away.
