Well done to the Kidman Archers team for participating in the 2026 National Indoor Championships. Was a few of our members first time participating in a competition. Looks like every one had a great time!

Great Southern Archers Fairweather Invitational
9 August @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm ACST

Round: 24 target WA Field (marked) Teams Event

Note: Each team to comprise 1 x barebow/longbow, 1 x compound, 1 x recurve

In recognition of its founding members, Rob & Helen Fairweather, Great Southern Archers is holding the Fairweather Invitational Team Field Event (a registered WA field event) again.

Each team of three comprises a compound archer, a recurve archer and, either a barebow or longbow archer, and will shoot a handicapped marked field round. Team members can be from the same Club, or join with members of another Club(s).

If you are a single archer that can’t find a team, let GSA know and it will find you a team.

Was a beautiful day for getting out in the sun and shooting last Saturday, with 27 people shooting throughout the day.

Tom Skladzien sent the below photo in of his lane hammering the gold on the day.

Was a very cold morning for Rhys Brown, Joel Jeffree and Brett Grumps Jeffree in the Angas Show hall for the Barossa Indoor tournament today.
Joel placed 3rd and Rhys placed 4th for open recurve, Brett placed 3rd for open barebow recurve.

Thank you to the Barossa Archery Club for putting on a great tournament. This is the second time I have been to shoot in this tournament and once again I thoroughly enjoyed the shoot and company of everyone that was there.

Rhys Brown, Joel Jeffree and Brett Jeffree went to Mid North Archers Christine Player Memorial 2026 shoot in Port Pirie over the weekend.
It was a sunning day on the Saturday for shooting a Target QRE and then a slightly cold night shooting a Indoor QRE Saturday night.

On the Sunday we had another sunny day for the Christine Player Memorial, their was 29 shooters on the line.
Rhys Brown placed 3rd in the open recurve category with Joel following up with a 4h place. Brett Jeffree placed 1st in the 50+ barebow recurve category also.

We would like to thank the Mid North Archers for a well organised shoot, their warm hospitality and a fun weekend of shooting.
