Congratulations to our very own Connor Beck who was selected as a referee to represent Queensland at the upcoming Australia School Sport Nationals in October at Newcastle.
Well done to Shaw Pink and Breeze O'Kane who were also selected, along with Cooper Nicholls who was selected as a shadow.
All four have supported games in Season 1 this year at Gold Coast Touch. We wish them all the very best.

Following the recent SQBD Annual General Meeting, we'd like to acknowledge the retirement of two long serving Board members.
Mel Smith and Mathew Gilbertson have each made an outstanding contribution to the growth and success of the SQBD region over many years. Their dedication, leadership and commitment have helped shape our region, with strong participation growth and player, coach and referee development pathways strengthening during their tenure.
On behalf of the entire SQBD community, we extend our sincere thanks to Mel and Mathew for their years of volunteer service, generosity and unwavering commitment to the region. While they have concluded their time on the Board, we are delighted that both will continue to support SQBD in a range of capacities, ensuring their knowledge, experience and passion remain valuable assets to our touch football community.
The AGM resulted in the appointment of Jason Forsyth (President), Leigh-Ann Wilson (Secretary), Scott Hogan (Treasurer), with Garry Sonda, Dave Parker and Troy Hutton comprising the remaining Board members.
