Well, I think we may have just found the ULTIMATE Michael Jackson super fans! Tonight at North Australian Festival of Arts

And honestly, these kids absolutely made my night!

The hats, the gloves, the moves, the attitude! They didn’t just turn up for a Silent Disco Walking Tour — they came ready to channel the King of Pop himself!

What I loved most was seeing just how deeply Michael Jackson’s music continues to inspire a whole new generation of dancers. These kids weren’t even born when he was alive, yet here they are, knowing the moves, feeling the music and absolutely owning every moment.

As a dancer and teacher, THIS is the stuff that makes my heart sing.

That beautiful, uninhibited joy of dancing. No worrying about getting it right, no self-consciousness, just pure passion, imagination and a whole lot of attitude!

And let me tell you, some of those moves were seriously impressive!

Music transcends generations. Dance connects us across time. And inspiration? Well, that never goes out of style.

Michael Jackson would have been proud of this little crew.

Thank you for bringing so much magic to my NAFA Silent Disco Walking Tour. You reminded me exactly why I love what I do.

TONIGHT! THE KING OF POP TAKES OVER NAFA!

You know the songs. You know the moves. Now it’s time to unleash your inner Michael Jackson!

Tonight we’re hitting the streets of NAFA for one seriously funky MICHAEL JACKSON HITS SILENT DISCO WALKING TOUR!

We’re talking moonwalks, questionable dance moves, spontaneous singalongs and an entire crowd dancing through the festival like they’re starring in their own music video.

Can’t moonwalk? Neither can half of us. Who cares? This is about having FUN!

Grab your friends, bring your best MJ moves and get ready for an hour of absolute musical magic.

This Thursday, we’re turning up the connection and slowing down the groove with URBAN KIZ at Molly Malone’s!

If you’ve ever watched Urban Kiz and wondered what makes it so mesmerising, here’s your chance to find out.

Think smooth movement, musicality, connection and just enough attitude to keep things interesting.

WIN A DOUBLE PASS TO NAFA SILENT DISCO

To celebrate our final weekend of Silent Disco at NAFA 2026, I’m giving away 3 double passes — so three winners will each receive entry for themselves and a friend.

This isn’t just a disco. It’s a walking tour through NAFA with wireless headphones, big music, games, dance challenges and plenty of ridiculous fun along the way.

You don’t need to be able to dance. You just need to be able to have fun.

Last Sunday of the school holidays and Global Dance Collective has got you covered.

This morning, Fiorella and May are down at Cotters Market entertaining the kids and running some FREE dance classes — so if you’re wandering through, go find them and have a dance. They will be there until 10.30am.

Then this afternoon, I’m back at NAFA with the Silent Disco Walking Tours for two very different kinds of chaos.

4:30–5:30pm — Kids Silent Disco
6:30–7:30pm — K-Pop Demon Hunters

So basically, if the kids still have energy left after two weeks of school holidays, send them our way. We’ll see what we can do about that.

Well… today I met my hero.

Anyone who knows me knows I am a HUGE Care Bears fan, so getting to meet this absolute icon at Townsville Shopping Centre today as part of a little NAFA cross-promotion genuinely made my day.

Honestly, I’m not sure who was more excited — the kids or me.

And because apparently Care Bears and Silent Discos now exist in the same universe, this feels like the perfect reminder that Weekend Two of our North Australian Festival of Arts NAFA Silent Disco Walking Tours is here!

We’ve still got another weekend to go after this one, but this weekend is packed with some seriously fun sessions.

One hour of music, games, dancing, wandering, laughing and being gloriously silly in public.

All ages. All abilities. No dance experience needed. Just bring your sense of fun.
