It’s been such a wonderful weekend, knowing that we’ve been helping my neighbor’s child build confidence through 30 minutes of healthy exercise once a week, consistently for a whole year.
It’s even more meaningful that Angus’s dad has joined us in exercising together. It’s amazing to see how all these small things, started little by little each day, have grown into something so positive and meaningful.

A Special Thank You to Mitchell Ogilvie Tailoring, Brisbane

Today, I had the pleasure of visiting Mitchell Ogilvie Tailoring in Brisbane and meeting with my suit maker, Mr Aung, who personally tailored my special suit for my Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) celebrations.

I am truly grateful for the exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail and beautiful design of my suit.

The personalised embroidery of “Deuk Rae Kim OAM” and the special date inside the jacket make it even more meaningful and memorable.

Receiving the OAM is one of the proudest moments of my life, and I sincerely appreciate the care and dedication that went into creating a suit for such an important occasion.

Thank you, Mr Aung and the Mitchell Ogilvie Tailoring team, for being part of this special chapter of my journey.

Jhostin is working and studying in Australia while completing his Diploma of Sport. He is also currently going through his sponsored visa process as he continues building his career in the fitness industry.

Jhostin is a fantastic Senior Trainer at our Indooroopilly branch of Dundee’s Boxing & Fitness. His experience and dedication make him a great example for students entering the fitness industry.

Through our fitness education program, students learn how to coach teams and clients from the fundamentals through to advanced training, while developing the practical skills and confidence needed to become successful trainers.

OAM Crocodile Hat — a special gift from my client and big brother, Wayne! 🐊🎩
My brand name is Dundee Kim.

Twenty-nine years ago, my good friend Paul Kim, recommended that I use the name “Dundee.” The reason? Crocodile Dundee is such an iconic Australian movie, and because I came from the countryside and was a farm boy, he thought the name suited my image perfectly.

So, I became Dundee! 🇦🇺
After all these years, the name has become part of who I am and my Australian journey.

A very special moment I will always remember.

It was a great honour to receive the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the General Division for service to boxing, presented by the Governor of Queensland, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM, at Government House.

I am sincerely grateful for this recognition and for the opportunity to share this special occasion with my family, friends, athletes, trainers, students and everyone who has supported me throughout my journey.

For me, this OAM is not only about boxing champions or competition. It represents many years of using boxing, fitness and education to help people build confidence, discipline, health, resilience and a better life.

My sincere thanks to Her Excellency and all the Government House staff for making the Investiture Ceremony such a memorable experience.

This honour encourages me to continue giving back to boxing, sport and our wider community.
