10 Days until Spring Snag & Tag kicks off - are you ready? 🏉🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Games start Wednesday 21 October — and there’s still time to join!

Think fast feet, big smiles, new mates and plenty of rugby fun. It’s non-contact, welcoming to beginners, and a great way to give rugby a go without the full season commitment.

✔️ All clubs welcome — you don’t need to be a KWP player!

We're pumped to be partnering with Trytime Rugby Camps to help us deliver this great 6 week social comp 🏉💛💙.

We're currently putting together teams, so don't miss your chance to get the kids involved.

Parents, we're going to run a sideline step club, so get the sneakers on, get your steps up and keep fit whilst the kids have fun 🚶🏼🚶🏾‍♀️

Expressions of interest for 2027 Season (Feb-Sept 2027) sponsorships are now open.

This is a great opportunity for a local or national business looking to raise their awareness & engage with the local community across Pymble, West Pymble, Killara and the surrounding suburbs.

We are a family oriented, local club that has been part of the local community for over 65 years. With over 150 kids playing minis & juniors rugby, an over 35's squad of 50+ men, and regular touch rugby every Tuesday evening... the opportunities to promote your brand and engage with our community are plentiful.

We're excited that registration for our Spring Snag & Tag is now OPEN!

Starting Wed October 21, and running for 6 weeks, our Snag & Tag will be a Tri-Tag format, where the aim of the game is fun, friends and fitness 🏉.

We hope to run both mixed gender and girls-only teams (depending on numbers).

What a great way to finish the season at KWP Rugby Club with our End-of-Season Presentation Day!

The weather was perfect, and Lofberg Oval was packed with families relaxing on picnic rugs, enjoying bubbles, a few drinks, games, plenty of laughs and lots of fun.

A huge thank you to the whole KWP Rugby Union Club community — players, coaches, volunteers, families, supporters and sponsors — for coming together to celebrate another great season.

Congratulations to all our award winners. We’ll be celebrating them with individual posts over the coming weeks.

A special thank you to our guests — Nicolette Boele MP, Jennifer Anderson OAM and Charles Woodall — as well as our friends from Gordon Junior Rugby Club Inc and Gordon Rugby - The Highlanders for being there.

And a special shout-out to Nicolette Boele MP, who took her support for KWP Rugby Union Club to the next level by buying a KWP T-shirt and wearing it on the day. We may have created a new lifelong fan!

But don’t lament…Spring Snag & Tag registrations are opening soon, so we’ll see you back at Lofberg Oval in October.

As we get closer to our End of Season Presentation Day, we're continuing our look at some of the awards that recognise the people who have shaped the rugby club we are today. 💙💛

Whether on the field, or behind the scenes, each award has its own story, with a person, a contribution and a legacy behind it.

This time, we're looking at three more of our awards:

⭐ The Craig Smith Award — KWP Player of the Year
⭐ The Tony Cooper Award — KWP Rep Player of the Year
⭐ The Bobby Burns Award — Spirit of KWP

From Craig Smith’s work building our Minis and Juniors programs, to Tony Cooper’s contribution to KWP and representative rugby, and Bobby Burns’ famous “never take a backward step” attitude — these awards each reflect a different part of what makes KWP Rugby what it is.

We look forward to seeing who our 2026 award recipients will be...
