The horses had some bodywork today, and BB gave me the sweetest moment. He turned around, rested his head on my shoulder and stayed there for a cuddle. Of course, I didn’t catch that part on camera! 🥹❤️

They do so much for their riders, and keeping their muscles and bodies feeling good is one way we can look after them in return. 🐴

16 years ago today, I landed in Australia 🇦🇺❤️

I was one year in remission from stage 3 lymphoma, leaving behind my family, my friends and everything that felt familiar.

I came here not really knowing what the future looked like, or even whether Australia would become home.

I certainly couldn’t have imagined the life that would unfold over the next 16 years. The people I would meet, the family and life I would build, the challenges I would face, the horses (so many horses 😂🐴), the business we would build, and all the memories along the way.

After everything I had been through with cancer, coming to Australia really was the beginning of a completely new chapter.

Life can change so quickly. Make the memories, take the chances, and appreciate the ordinary days too. They’re more precious than we realise. ❤️

Well and truly into the season now! 🐴☀️

Our first three Globetrotting rides are already behind us, spring has definitely arrived… and the horses know it! 😂 There’s a little extra spring in everyone’s step at the moment.

Out of curiosity I had a look at what September has involved for me so far (Laura) apparently running horse rides is a fairly effective fitness program! 😅

🐴 38 hours 12 minutes in the saddle
🗺️ 136 km ridden
🚶‍♀️ Around 181 km on foot
🧘‍♀️ Pilates once a week to help keep me strong and balanced in the saddle

And that’s before all the catching, feeding, grooming, saddling, loading and general horse jobs that never make it onto an app!

I knew September had been busy, but seeing the numbers explains why I’m ready for bed at night 😂

Bring on the rest of the season! 🐴💛
