The Waverley Park Hawks are a junior AFL football club based at Columbia Park in Wheelers Hill

The Waverley Park Hawks is one of the largest junior AFL clubs in the Monash municipality and has a long history in the community that spans over forty years. Our club has both boys and girls teams catering for ages from 7 to 17, with approximately 400 players. The Club is based at Columbia Reserve in Wheelers Hill and principally serves this suburb, as well as nearby suburbs such as Glen Waverley

, Mount Waverley, Mulgrave, Rowville, Scoresby and Dandenong. The Club is affiliated with the South Metro Junior Football League (SMJFL) which was established in 1988. It is now one of the premier leagues in Victoria and in 2015 consisted of 27 member clubs, over 400 teams and approximately 9,500 players participating each weekend in 52 divisions. The Waverley Park Hawks are also part of the Hawthorn Football Club Affiliated Club program and as such wear the Hawks' colours of brown and gold and use the Hawks nickname. Our purpose

The purpose of our club is to provide an enjoyable junior football experience for local children and to improve their physical and social wellbeing through skill development in a team environment. We foster player participation, new friendships, enjoyment, and the playing of football in the true spirit of sportsmanship. We strive to develop our players to achieve their full potential by providing good coaching and playing facilities and at the same time creating an environment where players enjoy themselves both on and off the field. The Waverley Park Hawks are an inclusive club and welcomes boys and girls of all ages and of all skills levels, from diverse backgrounds. Whether you are highly competitive or simply want to play a game of football with your mates, our family and community-minded club is right for you. Club Values

Our last After Match is here for the season and on GRAND FINAL day is being hosted by our Committee!

Did someone say KFC?!?
Yes we did because that’s what we’ll be serving up and hopefully celebrating a couple of flags 🏆

Don’t forget we’ll be at Central Reserve - Mazenod Old Collegians Ground - Cnr Waverley and Springvale Road, Glen Waverley. You will find the parking entrance is from the Waverley Rd side.

Come on down to the Central Reserve clubrooms from 5:30pm on Sunday and enjoy some dinner, drinks and catching up with all the other Waverley Park Hawks families.

The kids can have a kick on the oval under lights and presentations will commence around 6:30pm where we will acknowledge our two Grand Finalists!

There will also be the famous players draw for all WPHawks players in attendance and our raffle.

Our brilliant Committee hosted another fantastic After Match for Finals Week 2 and it was packed to the rafters. A huge thanks to Mulgrave Pizza House for the delicious pizzas, we sold out twice over!!

Congratulations to all of our brilliant After Match award winners 👏👏👏👏

We celebrated some amazing winners of our inaugural After Match awards. Thanks to our MC and After Match coordinator, Scott Adams, who created these awards after a memorable year.

We also farewelled two of our teams - U17.5 Wyllie and our U16 Ryan team. After a wonderful season by both, the results on Sunday didn’t go our way and they were knocked out of the finals. Congrats fellas on a season well done! We will farewell the U17.5 Wyllie team at their Best and Fairest next week as their time in junior footy comes to an end.

And with that we ended the night with not one but TWO PREMIERSHIPS celebrations!

Congrats again to our U11 Ternes team and our U13 Georgios team who unveiled their flags and showed off their new silverware on stage!
