In 1 hour, our Women will be running out for the 2026 season. ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ

We start the season with a mixed squad of 33 old, new and returning faces, seeing our team of 23 taking the field tonight

In those 23 feature 7 North Whyalla debutants:
Anna Charley, Jorja Eldridge, Laura Kelly, Georgie Loxton, Olivia Marschall, Louise Redmond & Jamie Rust

And an additional 4 North Whyalla Junior girls who will be making their Senior debutant:
Billie Dunn, Molly Kroll, Maddi Lipczyk, Mia Pedler

We also unveil our new leaders, with ever dependable Ebony Curwood-Dare continuing to lead, we see Ange Harris appointed as VC and our new leadership squad comprise of Emily Bajcarz, Chloe Holmes & Charma Pickhaver-Tupe ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

Other fresh faces youโ€™ll see around the team include coaching staff; Johnny Kroll, co-trainer; Kate Kroll, and runner; Daniel Marinkovich, joining our already seasoned Coaches and support staff.

We couldnโ€™t be prouder of our pre-season and we look forward to a fresh season ahead, backing our 2025 Premiership.

Letโ€™s go our Mini Magpies! North Whyalla is solely represented by our Under 12s for this years WFL Grand Final Day!

Kicking off the day at 8:30am, the Under 12s will compete against South Whyalla for the U12 Premiership! These Magpies will be aiming to win North Whyallas first Under 12s premiership since 2004! ๐Ÿคฏ

A terrific season already had by this well drilled & disciplined side, with just one more game to go and they would love to see plenty of support!

Put on your club colours, grab a coffee and be cheering at Bennett Oval for our star Magpies!

Get yourself into the footy spirit by coming to Memorial Oval TONIGHT for Round 1 of the Womenโ€™s Football! The Maggies play at 6pm with a crop of new players ready to don the black & white!

North Whyalla is saddened to inform our members of the recent passing of Joe โ€˜Albyโ€™ Niemann.

A Gentleman and devoted servant of North Whyalla, and the greater Whyalla Football League. Alby was a well known & respected member of the community, with an incredible passion & commitment to Whyalla Football.

A life of volunteering spanning many decades, Alby put his name to every role you can imagine within North Whyalla.
President, treasurer, secretary, team manager, trainer. Aswell as coaching, goal umpiring & co-ordinator of our Junior program. Away from the game day action on the oval, Alby dedicated his time by working as a barman, on counter tea crews and was heavily involved in the clubroom extension. This level of dedication to Wileman Street earned Alby the honour of NWFC Life Member in 1973.

Alby continued these efforts onto the WFL, as he spent 18 years being involved for the Whyalla Football League. Filling roles of secretary, permit officer, ground management & formed part of the panel for tribunal hearings. WFL Life Membership honours were presented in 1976.

Albyโ€™s incredible volunteering efforts didnโ€™t go unnoticed outside of Whyalla, with Alby being the recipient of the SANFL Volunteer Award.

A life well lived, truely filled with passion & dedication to helping the mighty black & white, and the WFL.

We send our condolences to all of Albyโ€™s family.

This year Norths Juniors Committee are again catering for the Kiwi Netball Club presentations. The committee catering this event is a huge fundraising opportunity for our club and provides large profits that go directly to our amazing juniors and the upcoming season!
