This Sunday, 25 Tigers teams take the court in the WABL Semi-Finals, each one win away from the 2027 WABL Grand Final.

It’s a well-earned opportunity after a season of hard work from our players, coaches and managers, with plenty of support from families along the way.

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙒𝙚 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙮 𝘽𝙮 🏀

Basketball WA has released a new Code of Conduct, setting the expected standards of behaviour across all Basketball WA affiliated activities, bothon and off the court.

Consistent with Basketball WA’s Code, we have also updated The Willetton Way - our Code of Conduct for everyone associated with Willetton Basketball Association.

Together, these Codes set clear expectations for players, coaches, referees, volunteers, staff, members, parents, supporters and everyone involved in our basketball community. They help us provide an environment that is safe, welcoming and inclusive for all.

We encourage every member of our community to read both Codes and understand the standards of behaviour expected.

FAREWELL JACKIE 💙🐯

This week, we farewell our High Performance Administrator, Jackie Keepa, as she retires to spend more time with her family after more than 20 years of involvement with Willetton.

Jackie’s contribution began in volunteer roles within our domestic clubs and grew to include many areas of the club, including NBL1 as team manager. Along the way, she also volunteered as a WNBL team manager and worked at Basketball WA before returning to the Tigers as a volunteer administrator. As the role grew, she joined the club as a part-time employee.

Recognised by her peers as Administrator of the Year on multiple occasions, Jackie has consistently given more than her role required. Her time, care and dedication have helped keep every level of our high performance program running smoothly, and we are grateful for the work she has done behind the scenes.

Jackie now hands over to Erik Nedved, who steps into the role this week after spending time with her learning the ropes.

Thank you, Jackie, for everything you have given the Tigers as both a volunteer and an employee, and for your contribution to basketball across WA.

We wish you and your family all the best for this next chapter. Enjoy a well-deserved retirement, we know you’ll still be cheering on your Tigers from afar 💙

The Tigers showed out for the first round of finals, with 25 teams out of 30 progressing to the semi finals next week!

𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗 𝗪𝗥𝗔𝗣 𝗨𝗣 🗞️
🔵 Tigers have 25 teams progressing to the semi finals
🔵 We had one derby in round one of the finals, in Under 14 Girls Division 2, with Team 2 and Team 3 playing each other, with Team 2 getting the 10 point win.
🔵 Some Tigers teams caused upsets, beating teams placed above them at the end of the regular season. Well done to U14 Boys Div 4, U16 Girls Div 4, and U20 Men for beating the odds and progressing to the semi finals!
🔵 Shoutout to our U14 Boys, U16 Girls, U16 Boys, U18 Girls who had clean sweeps across their age groups.

Next stop semi finals, let's go Tigers! 🐅
