It’s Women’s Health Week 💜
And this year’s theme is one I really want mums to hold onto: DO IT ANYWAY.
The walk you nearly talked yourself out of.
The glass of water you forgot about.
The 10 minutes of movement you didn’t think were worth it.
Do it anyway.
Because looking after yourself doesn’t have to be perfect. The small things add up.
Today we’re talking fuelling. Something that’s easy to put last when you’re busy making sure everyone else has eaten.
But you need food and energy too, Mum. 💜
This week we’ll move through fuelling, movement, rest, mental wellbeing and connection, with simple reminders to prioritise yourself too.
So stick around & join me.

Last weekend at Mumsafe Mooloolaba 2026…
Learning. Connecting. Planning. Celebrating.
It takes a lot to make this happen for myself and my business.
The lead-up is chaotic and mum-guilt throws a fair few digs at me while I’m gone. But I always come back lighter, with a bit more capacity to tackle challenges and some new ideas to roll with.
That’s why it’s become part of my yearly plan. I have zero regrets and I’m super grateful for my family and clients who support me in making it happen, even when it feels hard.
Because sometimes stepping away from the everyday is exactly what I need to come back to it with a little more perspective, energy and clarity.
Biggest thanks to Pre & Postnatal Educator | Fitness Business Coach and the Safe Pre & Postnatal Exercise for Mums team for putting together such an amazing event. ❤️

One of the questions I get ALL the time from pregnant mums is:
“Am I actually supposed to wind everything right back now?”
Nope. Not necessarily.
Pregnancy doesn’t mean throwing everything you’ve been doing out the window and starting again from scratch.
For most women, it’s about keeping the foundations and layering in a few specialist adjustments as pregnancy progresses.
Because the research and guidelines are pretty clear: exercise during pregnancy is a good thing. It can support your physical health, mental wellbeing, strength and preparation for the demands of motherhood.
The tricky bit is knowing what that looks like for you, at your stage of pregnancy, with your history and how you’re actually feeling.
So save this one, send it to your pregnant mate who’s wondering if she needs to suddenly stop everything… and if you want help figuring out what applies to you, reach out. 💜

I love these updated guidelines because they actually reflect how a mum’s day works.
You’re already moving - lifting toddlers, walking to school, carrying groceries, up and down the stairs a hundred times.
That movement counts.
Your workout is one part of the picture, not the whole thing.
Have a look through the recommendations and pick one small thing you can realistically nudge this week. Small and repeatable will always beat trying to do everything at once 💜

The movement guidelines for adults have recently been updated - and there’s one shift I really like for mums.
Movement, sitting less and sleep are now considered together, rather than as three completely separate things.
Because your health isn’t just about whether you got your workout in.
It’s the walk you squeezed in.
The 10 minutes of movement between school runs.
Getting down on the floor to play with your toddler.
Standing up instead of sitting for another hour.
And yes, getting enough sleep when you actually can.
It all counts.
And I think that’s a much more realistic way to look at movement when your day rarely goes exactly to plan.
We’re unpacking the new guidelines this week - including what they actually recommend for adults and what changes (and what doesn’t) when you’re pregnant.
Because your workout is one piece of the picture. It’s not the whole picture 💜

Not all core exercises are created equal after birth and when you introduce them matters just as much as what you’re doing.
Postpartum core recovery isn’t about avoiding certain exercises forever. It’s about rebuilding your capacity progressively, so your body is ready for each new level of load.
Here are the 4 phases of postpartum core rebuilding, what each one involves and the signs that you’re ready to progress.
Save this one and come back to it as your body changes. 💜

Your postpartum core is about so much more than “getting your abs back.”
After pregnancy and birth, your diaphragm, pelvic floor, deep abdominals and spinal muscles need to reconnect and learn to work together again.
Think of it as a team:
✨ Diaphragm at the top
✨ Pelvic floor at the base
✨ Deep abdominals wrapping around the front and sides
✨ Multifidus supporting your spine from behind
Together, they help manage pressure and create a strong foundation for movement and load.
That’s why returning to core-intensive exercise shouldn’t just be based on how many weeks it’s been since you gave birth.
It’s about what your body is demonstrating it can do.
This week, we’re breaking down what a progressive return to core training actually looks like - and how to know when you’re ready to move forward.
Because postpartum recovery isn’t about rushing back.
It’s about rebuilding strength, support and confidence in your body. 💜
Did anyone ever explain postpartum core recovery to you in a way that actually made sense?

So many of the changes that happen during perimenopause and menopause get brushed off as:
“Just part of getting older.”
“Nothing to worry about.”
“You just have to put up with it.”
But I don’t think that’s good enough.
Because when you understand what’s actually happening in your body, you’re in a much better position to recognise what’s changing, ask better questions and find the right support for you.
That doesn’t mean every symptom needs to be “fixed”.
It means you deserve to know what’s normal, what’s common, what’s treatable and what’s worth getting checked.
And this is especially important when it comes to things like bladder changes, vaginal symptoms, pelvic floor changes, sleep, mood and the way your body feels during exercise.
You don’t need to just accept feeling unlike yourself because you’re going through menopause.
So swipe across and see how many of these symptoms you recognise.
And if you’ve ever been told, “That’s just menopause” - I’d love to know what it was. 👇
Because the more we talk about this stuff, the less women have to navigate it thinking they’re the only one.
