But with luck on our side... Small mechanical issue meant we were slower than we should be, but a break out from the opposition gave us the W. Issue is sorted and onto round 2 tomorrow!

That’s it for day 2. We ran a 6.65 @ 206mph in Q3. I need to say a big thank you to Dan Case Steve Ham, Greg Clayton, and Mark Veigel for helping with repairing our engine and also Jamie and Clinton for swinging the spanners late into the night.
First run for the event after being shut down on the start line in Q1 with an oil leak. 6.60 @ 208mph. Good to get a full clean pass in, it’s been a while since I needed to use the anchors out the back to slow down.

Well it’s been a while since we’ve played with this thing. We were a little bit rusty but we got there in the end. Planned shut off after half track, a little slow but no car killing tire shake off the line. Now to start putting power back into the car. Thanks Steve & Greg for the advise and help getting going again and Jamie & Hamish for the hours in the shed getting it back together.

Hello. I hope everyone is well. We’ve had a bit of work to do since winternats 2019. In our final qualifying pass the torque converter gave up at the 330ft mark breaking the spline off the turbine causing the engine to hit the rev limiter. This pulled the rocker stand thread out of the head at no 7 cylinder bending the stand. So we’ve bought a new torque converter with a billet front and stronger internals, a new rocker stand, fitted new lifters and checked and re-sealed the diff centre. We’ve also fitted a new rcd billet aluminium timing cover and also fitting a crank trigger to get the msd power grid working properly. We’re almost back together and ready to race again and all going well there’ll be no more surprises. We can’t wait to get back out and race again. Stay safe everyone
