Late update with little to no service at Willowbank today.

First round of eliminations was this morning, I took the win against Fred, second round will be bright and early tomorrow morning 🤞🏻

Daniel had two more shots at qualifying, he will start eliminations tomorrow 😊😊

Today one of the true gems of Drag Racing was farewelled. Margie was Willowbank Raceway, she lived and breathed everything about the daily running of a race meeting.
Always there to have a chat in the morning while signing our log books, asking about the girls and how my Dad is.
All my years racing in Modified, Margie was our bracket Marshall, making sure we were always ready to race, but more importantly having fun. Even after moving away from Modified, Margie continued to cheering us on, waving from the recently named ‘Margie’s Place’ or driving around in her famous Commodore.
Margie was the familiar face that was ever present, and it will be deeply missed by all who came to know her.
I’ll be thinking of her each & every time we roll past ‘Margie’s Place’ in the staging lanes

I’m sorry Hayley, John & Josh, Margie was one of a kind, I’m sure Nelma & Jimmy have already had a drink or two with her once again✨
