🏁🔥 FINALLY ON THE TOP STEP! 🔥🏁

KARL TOPS A STACKED FIELD! 🏆

What a night for Karl Hoffmans Racing!

After a tough run of weekends, it was time to put the LS back in the car — and Karl and the team certainly didn’t disappoint!

🔥 LAST NIGHT’S RESULTS 🔥

⏱️ Time Trials: 2nd / 18
🏁 Heat 1: 6th ➡️ 1st 🏆
🏁 Heat 2: 6th ➡️ 2nd
🔥 Shootout: 2nd
🏆 A-Main: 2nd ➡️ 1st

Karl went out 5th in Time Trials and immediately showed the pace, putting the LS 2nd quickest out of 18 cars.

That put Karl starting 6th in Heat 1, and he wasted no time making moves. Picking his way through the field, Karl worked his way right to the front and took the heat win! 🔥

Heat 2 saw Karl start from 6th again. With a couple of yellows breaking up the race, Karl kept pushing forward and brought it home in 2nd.

That was enough to put Karl into the Shootout, where he would battle for a spot on the front two rows.

Karl put together another strong run and clocked the 2nd quickest time, earning a front-row start for the A-Main!

Then it was time for the big one…

🏆 25 LAPS.

Karl jumped straight to the lead from the front row and never looked back!

Through traffic, yellows and even a red flag, Karl kept the car up front and brought it home to take the 🏆 WIN!

🏁🔥 IT’S AUSSIE RIVER TURF TIME! 🔥🏁

Last weekend wasn’t our weekend — BUT THAT’S RACING!

We’ve dusted ourselves off, reset the mindset and put it behind us. Now it’s time to get back in the seat and GO RACING! 💪🏁

This weekend we kick off the Aussie River Turf 360/LS Country Series with ROUND 1 OF 15 at Gladstone Speedway! 🔥

Around 20 cars are set to hit the track, and we’re ready to throw everything at it!

Karl is bloody keen to get back to Gladstone. The last time he hit this track in the LS, he came away with THE TOP STEP! 🏆

Then we load it up and head to Bundaberg Speedway on Sunday for their 60th Anniversary celebrations and another 360/LS Club Round! 🎉🏁

Two nights.
Two tracks.
One goal — GET BACK TO WINNING! 🔥

🏁 UPSIDE DOWN 🏁

Unfortunately, Karl and the team didn’t get the start to the night we were hoping for, going upside down on Lap 1 of Time Trials.

Tonight’s results:
🏎️ Time Trials: No time recorded
🏁 Heat 4: DNS
🔥 C-Main: Started 8th → DNF

Karl was heading out for qualifying and, while coming around to the green, unfortunately got the car upside down on the opening lap.

Karl is extremely disappointed for the team and all of our sponsors. The boys worked their backsides off to get the car back together after the incident, but unfortunately we missed the heat.

The team managed to get the car ready in time for the C-Main, starting from 8th. Around halfway through the race, Karl could feel something wasn’t quite right with the car and, with the car not allowing him to make any progress, he made the decision to pull the car in rather than risk causing further damage.

The team will now go over the car from top to bottom to make sure we haven’t missed anything and get everything ready for the final night of Thunder on the Downs. We’ll regroup, come back stronger and give it everything we’ve got! 💪🏁

🏁 NOT WHAT WE WANTED 🏁

Unfortunately, it wasn’t the night Karl and the team were looking for, with Karl struggling all night to find the grip on a very slick track.

Tonight’s results:
🏎️ Time Trials: 16th of 32 cars
🏁 Heat 1: Started 6th → Finished 9th
🔥 B-Main: Started 10th → Finished 8th

After having a fast track the night before, Karl was hoping to keep the momentum rolling, but the slick conditions made things difficult from the moment he hit the track.

Karl timed 16th fastest, putting him 6th in his heat and leaving him with plenty of work to do.

Starting 6th in Heat 1, Karl tried a couple of different moves but unfortunately couldn’t make them work, eventually dropping back to 9th.

That put Karl 10th in the B-Main. He made up a few spots in the opening laps and was moving forward before making a mistake, turning in too early into Turn 3 and hitting the inside wall, spinning the car around.

Karl had to restart from the back of the field, but he didn’t give up. He slowly worked his way forward and eventually brought it home in 8th place. 💪

Definitely not the night we were after, but that’s racing! Karl and the team will regroup, go over the car and come back swinging next weekend for another two nights of Thunder on the Downs at Toowoomba Speedway. 🔥🏁

🏁 KARL WAS ON FIRE! 🏁

What started as a dramatic night quickly turned into a very strong night for Karl and the team! 🔥

Tonight’s results:
🏎️ Time Trials: 9th of 35 cars
🏁 Heat 3: Started 3rd → Finished 1st 🏆
⚔️ Dash: Started 1st → Finished 2nd
🔥 A-Main: Started 2nd → Finished 9th

Karl’s night got a little heated after hot laps when the fuel cell developed a hole and caught alight. The crew jumped into action, heading back to the trailer to grab a replacement fuel cell and getting Karl back out in time to take his qualifying spot.

That was a massive effort from the entire crew, and Karl can’t thank them enough for getting the car back out there! 👏

Karl then went 9th fastest overall, putting him 3rd in Heat 3. After a couple of cars came together, Karl was moved up to 2nd and took full advantage, grabbing the lead straight away and never looking back! 🏁🔥

That win put Karl into the Dash, where he drew the 1st pick and started from pole. Karl didn’t quite get the start he was looking for and settled into 2nd, which put him 2nd for the 35-lap A-Main.

The A-Main was on a seriously fast track, and Karl got a great start, sliding into 2nd and holding his own at the front. Unfortunately, one small mistake sent the car into the wall, bending a rim and leaving Karl fighting to keep the car going.

From there, Karl battled on and slowly slipped back through the field, but managed to bring it home 9th and inside the top 10! 💪

Karl is really pleased to have found some serious car speed tonight and is ready to get after it for Night 2 of Thunder on the Downs! 🔥🏁

🏁BACK AT T-BAR! 🏁

After 7 and a half weeks on the road, 12 nights of racing and over 9,000 km travelled, taking in Cairns, Darwin and the long trip back home, Karl and the team are finally back and ready to get back into the first two nights of Thunder on the Downs! 🔥🏁

After arriving home, the car got a much-needed wash, and the team has been flat out getting everything serviced, checked over and ready to go, while also replenishing the trailer for another big weekend of racing.

The miles are behind us, the car is ready, and now it’s time to go racing again! 💪🏎️💨

🏁 IT’S TIME TO COME HOME! 🏁

Karl made the A-Main on the final night in Darwin, bringing our NT tour to an end! 🏁🔥

Last night results:
🏎️ Time Trials: 13th of 32 cars
🏁 Heat 1: Started 5th → Finished 6th
⚔️ Mid Pack Dash: Started 6th → Finished 7th
🔥 A-Main: Started 15th → Finished 13th

Karl started the night much better than the previous few nights, timing 13th fastest out of 32 cars, which set him up for a solid night.

Starting 5th in Heat 1, Karl battled hard and eventually finished 6th, giving him enough points to make the Mid Pack Dash.

Starting 6th in the Mid Pack Dash, Karl finished 7th, putting him 15th for the 30-lap A-Main.

Karl then tackled the A-Main, battling hard throughout the 30 laps and moving up and down the field before eventually bringing it home in 13th place. 💪

It’s been a challenging few nights in Darwin, but to only miss one A-Main across the entire NT trip makes the journey well worth it. Karl has definitely come a long way since first heading up here, and both Karl and the team are really happy with the progress we’ve made. ❤️

🏁 TIME TRIALS LETTING US DOWN! 🏁

Not the night Karl was hoping for, but there were plenty of positives to take away. He continued to build confidence running the top, which has been one of the biggest learning curves of the NT tour. 💪🔥

Tonight’s results:
🏎️ Time Trials: 23rd of 32 cars
🏁 Heat 2: Started 8th → Finished 10th
⚔️ B-Battle 2: Started 1st → Finished 1st
🔥 B-Main: Started 9th → Finished 5th

Karl’s night didn’t get off to the start he wanted, timing 23rd fastest, putting him 8th in his heat.

After working his way forward to 5th, Karl spun in Turn 2 on the final lap, dropping him back to 10th and sending him into the B-Battle.

Starting 1st in B-Battle 2, Karl was able to run the top confidently and bring it home with a 1st-place finish! 🏆

That put Karl 9th in the B-Main, where he quickly worked his way forward to 5th. He even managed to move into 4th for a lap before being passed and settling back into 5th.

Karl gave it everything he had, but unfortunately finished just one spot short of a transfer into the A-Main. 👊

The biggest positive tonight was the continued improvement and confidence running the top. There’s still plenty to learn, but the progress is there!

Tonight is a new night! 🏁

It’s our final night in Darwin, so we’re hoping to finish off our NT tour on a high with a great result. 🔥
