The team had some fun at the Ipswich Kart Club Round 3 championships last weekend. Both Pete and Adam had some good pace coming away with P4 and P5 respectively. It was a hard day of racing with 17 racers in the field. The boys were consistent and clean all weekend.

A huge thanks to all the Ipswich committee members, volunteers and officials who made the weekend possible.

Last weekend Phil, Pete and Adam all competed at the IKC CADET 'UNOFFICIAL' WORLD TITLES.

Phil was unfortunately taken out in heat 1 by a silly incident in front but recovered and did well through the day to bring home a solid P6 for the weekend.

Pete and Adam were consistently up the pointy end of the field all weekend and bringing home a solid P2 and P3 respectively.

The track wasn’t the quickest on the weekend and made life interesting when the rain started to come with 4 laps to go in the final. But all three drivers did really well to manage this curve ball and bring their drives home competitively.

The team are pumped to race together this weekend at the TaG titles. We spent our Sunday morning practicing. Bring on race day!

Yesterday we competed at the Ipswich KA100. All four of us competed in TaG restricted medium together. It was a full field of 19 racers with some ups and downs throughout the day.

Pete brought home the win with an amazing drive in the final. Doesn’t he look so happy up there on the top step.
Jason bring home a 4th place finish.
Woody bringing it home in 5th.
But unfortunately Phil was taken out by some bad driving in the field which caused him to dnf.

All eyes will be forward now for the remaining 2 Ipswich races for the year to try and capitalize every point for the chanpionshio for both Phil and Woody.

Good news today. Practice is allowed again as of this weekend in full swing. We Can’t wait to get back to the track and cut some laps.

Gotta love back to back race weeks. Getting ready for Ipswich round 4 this Saturday. Can’t wait.

Another Fantastic event held by Ipswich Kart Club for the 2021 Endurance Challenge.

Jason and Pete teaming up in the #6 Tony Kart started strong with a front row qualification for the race.

Adam and Phil teaming up in the #12 Arrow had a less than strong qualification starting P4.

The enduro race was 90 minutes long. Both teams opted for a 1 stint run each splitting the race time in half, 45 laps each.

Adam and Jason both started the first stints and having a lot of great battles throughout the entire stint before Adam finally managing to get past Jason on lap 40.

Then Phil and Pete jumped in after the compulsory pit stop and driver change. Phil and Pete battled it out a lot for P3 in the closing 15 to 20 laps. Phil pressuring for position but Pete unrelenting. Then an unfortunate mechanical flag for Pete to come in and fix his seat insert which was very close to flying out.

Personally I wish they allowed the battle to finish as it was very entertaining. But unfortunately Pete had to come in and do a quick fix and go essentially awarding Phil the position and bringing hope a P3 podium for the #12 kart.

It would have been amazing to have both teams on the podium. But it wasn’t meant to be this time. Both teams drove an amazing endurance race and it was great to team up in this way.

On Sunday the whole team took to the track to do some preparations for the upcoming Enduro round this weekend.

Phil and Adam will be teaming up in Phil’s number 12 Arrow Kart, whilst Jason and Pete will be teaming up in Jason’s number 6 Tony Kart. Both teams will be competing in TaG restricted mediums so hoping to lockout a front row.

Both teams are feeling comfortable in both karts and looking forward to a fun event.
