Given it’s Father’s Day this Sunday, there will be NO cricket training — because apparently dads are allowed one day off from cricket! 😂🏏

Hope all the dads enjoy the day, get thoroughly spoiled, and most importantly, avoid being asked to fix, build, mow or clean anything! And for those who have a dad, make sure you give him a call, shout him a beer, or at the very least pretend to listen to the same story he’s told you 47 times! 😂🍻

We’ll see you all back the following week for some training and a working bee to get everything cleaned up and ready for the cricket season.

🔴⚪️ We are incredibly proud to share that Jayden Simons, one of our Willunga Cricket Club juniors, has been selected to represent Australia in the U16 Indoor Cricket World Series Junior Team in South Africa this September 2026! 🇦🇺🇿🇦

This is an amazing achievement and a fantastic opportunity for Jayden to represent his country on the world stage.

The trip is 100% self-funded, and Jayden is currently seeking donations and support to help cover the costs of this incredible experience. Any donation, big or small, would be greatly appreciated and will help Jayden make it to South Africa and represent Australia.

🏏 150 Years of Memories | 2020/21

As we continue our journey through 150 years of Willunga Cricket Club, we could say this was one of the most memorable years in our proud history.

Those who played in this team would tell you it wasn’t just an amazing season — it was an incredible year!

In 2020/21, our A Grade team went through the entire season undefeated, capping off a remarkable campaign with a premiership victory over Port Elliot. In the Grand Final, Willunga’s bowlers rolled Port Elliot for just 82 runs, before chasing down the total to win by 9 wickets.

An unbelievable season, filled with numerous memorable moments, outstanding performances and the ultimate reward — another premiership added to the proud history of the WCC A Grade.

As we celebrate 150 years of Willunga Cricket Club, we look back on some of the memorable achievements that have helped shape our proud history.

In 2021/22, our A Grade side put together an outstanding season, losing just one game on their way to the premiership.
