On Saturday 05/09 the majority of our new members attended a Golf Croquet Basic Skills Workshop conducted by 2 of our qualified Level 3 GC Coaches.
The aim was to ensure their croquet careers get off to a great start by mastering all the basic skills first and not picking up any potential bad habits.
All participants enjoyed the session and have now got plenty of homework to do.
A follow up session is also scheduled for this month.

The Annual Windsor Golf Croquet Shield was played today.
Competitors enjoyed a block of 4 double round robin format.
Congratulations to all the winners and a huge thank you to those who travelled vast distances or came along to support family and friends.
Special Thanks to all our windsor family who either came on the day to support or supplied the magnificent food we were privileged to have.
A great day was had by all.

Dorothy Dolman contributed greatly in the 80’s and 90’s to help make The Windsor Croquet Club one of the largest in the Brisbane. Dorothy started playing in 1976 and her sister Jean Trenkner joined her soon after. Dorothy’s daughter Margaret Melville also played and went on to represent QLD and Aust. Dorothy’s large and trusty green car (Gertie) would transport the Windsor members to the monthly Party Days and Brooch events. Dorothy also helped run the cards and croquet events that generated much needed revenue for the club. Dorothy’s legacy was all about helping others and ensuring they had a good time. She was also passionate about coaching and really enjoyed helping the beginners on the half courts on lawn 4.
Thanks to members like Dorothy our club was built for success, that today’s members are all benefiting from today.

The Windsor Croquet Club High Low Doubles Championship was held today in glorious conditions.
16 club members battled it out with only 1 hoop point deciding the final winners.
It was wonderful to see all the participants staying to watch the untimed final.
A great time was had by all.

The Windsor Croquet Club was proud to host the first session of the 2026 Association Croquet State Team Squad.
This squad is preparing for the upcoming 2027 Interstate Cup. Players will be selected later this year to represent Queensland.
