It’s with great sadness I inform every one of the passing of longtime mate of Queensland Softball umpires, Mark ‘Macca’ McFarlane.

Not only an excellent umpire on the diamond, but great friend and mate and was always willing to share his stories and tips of umpiring with anyone wanting to listen. Mark attended many State Championships and Tournaments held here in Queensland.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to Mark’s family and friends at this sad time.

After diamond inspection this morning the diamonds are in great shape so it’s “Play Ball 🥎 “

On behalf of the Brisbane Softball Umpires Association Committee and our members, we would like to extend our condolences to the family of former BSUA member Peter Walsh. Peter was a long time member of BSUA before his retirement from umpiring.
