This isn't the only game that InCamera streamed over the weekend, but it's a good one because Brisbane Fury got the win! 🏆 We're incredibly proud to see fellow Panthers, Jane and Louise, continuing to raise the bar. It's hard to believe their streaming started out with a small grant, a couple of GoPros, and a dream. These days, they're running a seriously impressive streaming operation and bringing softball to audiences everywhere. After three long days of streaming, battling a few technical gremlins, early morning starts, and feeling a bit under the weather, they still showed up and delivered all weekend 👊🏻. The lesson? Always have the coffee ready before testing new equipment at sunrise! ☕😂 Thanks for everything you do for our sport Jane and Louise. Your dedication, professionalism, and countless hours behind the scenes don't go unnoticed and we think everybody should be using your services 🫶🏻🙌🏻

Congratulations to Amaya, Emilee, Kylie and Matisse on their selection in the Queensland Heat team, with Emilee and Kylie also adding a State Championship title to their achievements.

Congratulations also to LJ, Emilee, Peyton, AB and Kiki on their selection in the Queensland Under 23 team.

A wonderful reward for the hard work and dedication shown by these players. Panthers are proud of you all.

TPC IN ACTION 🐾

Four Friday nights in, five weeks until Opening Day, and our Friday Night Fundraising Program is already showing exactly what it's designed to achieve. Panthers participants have generated close to $2,300 in fundraising credits so far this season, with each participation point currently valued at more than $90.

But the real success isn't measured in dollars.

Tonight we saw T-Ballers, junior players and senior players, alongside family members and friends, sharing a meal, getting to know one another and strengthening the connections that make Panthers special. That's what TPC is all about 🐾

While softball brings us together on the diamond, Friday nights at our Panthers Clubhouse help build the culture, community and relationships that make Panthers more than just a softball club.

A special thank you to the team at the Albion Hotel, who have embraced our Friday Night Fundraising Program and continue to provide such a welcoming home for our Panthers community.

🥎🐾 JUNIOR COMPETITION UPDATE 🐾🥎

Brisbane Softball Association has confirmed changes to junior competitions for the 2026/27 Summer Season, designed to provide greater participation opportunities and help clubs field sustainable junior teams.

The changes include:

🥎 U14 changing to U15

🥎 U16 changing to U18

For Panthers, these changes may create additional opportunities for our junior athletes.

The move from U14 to U15 aligns with the WBSC U15 World Cup pathway, creating greater consistency between local competition and international representative opportunities.

The introduction of U18 competition may also provide additional opportunities for players who would previously have aged out of junior softball. These players may now have the chance to continue their junior development while also gaining experience in senior competition.

For many athletes, this could mean more game time, more development opportunities and a smoother transition into senior softball.

And to those players who thought they had aged out of junior softball after U16, this may be your opportunity to come back and continue your junior softball journey. 🙌🏻

With BSA having confirmed these competition changes, Panthers will now work with our coaches, managers, players and families to determine how we structure our teams within the new framework.

The coaching group will discuss the available options and work with families to identify the most appropriate pathway for each player, balancing development, participation and enjoyment of the game.

We'll continue to keep members updated as planning progresses.

Panthers Softball Club is delighted to welcome Miki Jespersen back to Panthers as our Tee Ball Coach for the 2026/27 season (and to play!) 🥎

Many Panthers members will remember Miki as part of our A2 Premiership-winning team before taking some time away from the game.

We're thrilled to see Miki return to Panthers, this time helping introduce our youngest players to softball through our Tee Ball program.

Miki's enthusiasm, experience and love of the game will make her a fantastic role model for our future Panthers.
