West City Crusaders Futsal Club are holding trials next weekend at the Blacktown Olympic Sports Park Disability Centre next to the athletic stadium.

West City Crusaders would like to extend a huge thank you to Matthew Wearne as he steps down from his role as Technical Director.

Since arriving at the club, Wearney has played a pivotal role in transforming standards, culture, and performance across all age groups. His commitment to player development, coach education, and building a strong, connected environment has left a lasting impact on everyone involved.

Over the past two seasons, the club has gone from strength to strength under Matthew’s guidance, reflected in back-to-back 2nd place Club Championship finishes and significant growth across all age groups. Highlights include the 12 Boys going back-to-back titles, the 16 Boys completing the double in 2024, many of those players progressing to win the Youth Grand Final the following year, and our Men’s program returning to the top, claiming the title in 2025.

While we’re sad to see him move on, we’re incredibly grateful for the foundations he has put in place and the direction he has set for the future of the club.

We wish him all the very best as he continues his coaching journey and know he will have a big impact in his next chapter.
