Nicola Olyslagers wasn't a "naturally sporty" kid. Then she found high jump. 🏆

Growing up, she was a lot taller than her peers. But the moment she tried high jump for the first time, that height became her superpower, she fell in love straight away and just knew: "This is what I'm going to do." What once set her apart now gave her a real sense of belonging and confidence in who she was.

She set her sights on something huge from the very start: clearing 2 metres one day and making it to the Olympics. When she began working with her coach, she was jumping 1.36m. But she kept showing up, kept chasing it and eventually became the first Australian woman in history to clear that exact height.

That's the thing about finding your sport. It's not about being gifted from day one it's about finding the thing that makes you feel like you belong, and having the determination to chase it, one small step at a time. 💚
