🇦🇺 TIGANI X MACAU 🇲🇴

Tigani Motorsport can confirm it will enter the FIA GT World Cup at the Macau Grand Prix with Mercedes-AMG Motorsport driver Lucas Auer.

Tigani Motorsport will be one of three Mercedes-AMG Motorsport entries alongside Craft-Bamboo Racing, which will enter Maro Engel and Adderly Fong.

“I’m absolutely delighted to be returning to Macau,” said Auer.

“It is simply an incredible event and something very special for every driver.

“That makes me even more excited about my first GT3 outing on the Guia Circuit in November.

“I’ll be making intensive use of the time between now and then to prepare as best as possible, with simulator sessions as well as extensive video and data analysis.”

It will be just the second event for Tigani Motorsport outside of Australia in its history and arguably one of its toughest assignments to date on the tight and twisty Guia Street Circuit.

“We are delighted to be back on the grid for the prestigious FIA GT World Cup in Macau with a very strong line-up,” said Stefan Wendl, Head of Customer Racing, Mercedes-AMG Motorsport.

“My thanks go to our Customer Racing Teams Craft-Bamboo Racing and Tigani Motorsport for running our entries.

“Macau is both a highlight and a challenge. Torque sensors have been mandatory in the FIA GT World Cup since last year.

“As we do not yet have any experience with them on the Guia Circuit, we are placing particular emphasis on preparation and simulation work.

“Mercedes-AMG Motorsport has a successful history in Macau, and of course we want to build on that.”

Tigani Motorsport will look to continue Mercedes-AMG Motorsport’s success in the FIA GT World Cup as part of the Macau Grand Prix.

Other teams to have won for Mercedes-AMG Motorsport at Macau include Craft-Bamboo Racing (2021, 2022), Mercedes-AMG Team GruppeM Racing (2019, 2024), Toro Racing (2020), and Mercedes-AMG Team Landgraf (2023).

Tough end to the weekend in Darwin 😮‍💨

Turn one was a popular spot for chaos this weekend. Unfortunately, there was a bit of friendly fire between the no.66 and the no.44 during a messy start.

After a spin at the first turn, Brendon Leitch and Sergio Pires put together an awesome recovery from last to P5.

Oscar Targett and Shane Smollen finished in P10 in the no.56 while the success penalty for Jayden Ojeda and Paul Lucchitti meant they finished in P11.

In the Trophy class, Nathan Halstead and Luke Youlden celebrated their first win in the 991.2 model Porsche 911 GT3 R.

Juice and Paul take P2! 🥈

Awesome day for Paul Lucchitti and Jayden Ojeda to take second place at Hidden Valley.

Tougher day for Brendon Leitch and Sergio Pires. In all the first turn madness, poor Sergio got hung out to dry and ended up P7.

After Friday’s incident, Shane Smollen returned to take P8 with Oscar Targett. They had been running third until a mistake in the first stint was compounded by a slow pit stop when the belt buckle got stuck under Oscar’s seat insert.

Nathan Halstead and Luke Youlden stayed out of trouble and finished P10.
