The Ride Wollongong Festival of Cycling kicks off Saturday 29 August, and from there it's 16 days of racing, riding and community across the city.

Go the Distance, 61km of it 🚴‍♀️

The last of IBUG's supported rides is the big one, North Wollongong to Port Kembla and Shellharbour and back, built for riders with moderate to experienced ability who are comfortable covering longer distances on the road and in a group.

Briefing at 6:30am, rolling out at 7:00, finishing with coffee and the festival atmosphere at Lang Park for the Family Fun Day!

Bring the whole family, there's something for everyone at the Family Fun Day 😍

The Family Fun Day takes over Lang Park on Sunday 13 September, with community and cycling exhibitors, entertainment, food, cycling workshops and a proper family friendly atmosphere.

Accessible pathways, reserved accessible parking and facilities will be available throughout.

Mt Kembla belongs to the next generation of riders 👏

The Kembla MTB and History Schools Rides will take local students through the trail network with lessons on the area's history woven in as part of the Ride Wollongong Festival of Cycling across various dates.

Ride4Rotary is part of the Ride Wollongong Festival of Cycling, closing things out on Sunday 13 September at Lang Park and the Wollongong foreshore.

Ride with the kids, cruise with friends, or just soak up the atmosphere, it's a vibrant, inclusive celebration of cycling for a meaningful cause.

Find Your Rhythm, then find another 17km of it 🚴‍♀️

This IBUG supported ride steps up to 39km, North Wollongong to Windang and back, built for riders with moderate experience who are ready for a longer stretch on the road. You'll need to have ridden the 5 September Port Kembla loop first.

Join in all the fun on Saturday 12 September. Briefing at 6:30am, rolling out at 7:00, back around 9:30 with time for coffee!

The fundamentals matter more than the fancy stuff 🚴

The AusCycling Road Cycling Foundation Skills Course runs Saturday 12 September at Unanderra Criterium Track, built for aspiring coaches and riders wanting to sharpen bike handling and group riding skills in a structured setting.

Time: 9am - 1pm
Cost: $240

The Disability Trust's All Abilities Day runs Friday 11 September at the Illawarra Criterium Track in Unanderra, a safe and accessible space to try inclusive cycling for the first time or build confidence on a bike you already love.

Cycling policy by day, cycling films by night 🚴‍♀️

The IBUG Cycling Conference and Film Night lands at BlueScope Visitor Centre on 11 September, bringing together policymakers, researchers and community leaders to talk safer streets, affordability and access.
