Wollongong's largest running event held on Sunday 6 June 2027

Runners can choose from a half marathon, a 10km or 5km, or a 2km kids fun run.

Family friendly, but also accurately measured & timed. The Wollongong Running Festival’s inaugural event will be held on the south coast of NSW starting and finishing in Stuart Park North Wollongong. The Wollongong Running Festival has been organised by Wollongong's leading Outdoor Fitness Company, Savvy Fitness, and will become an annual event including a kids 2km event as well as a 5km, 10km & 21.1km event. Wollongong Running Festival will support Lifeline South Coast. The 5km event has been named the 'Burn for Mark' and is dedicated to 2011's winner Mark Scott who is currently recovering from a serious cycling accident which happened in June 2011. Funds raised from the Mark Scott 5k will assist in the ongoing care and treatment for Mark and support for his young family. So make sure you Save the Date for the FIRST SUNDAY in June every year!

One thing we loved seeing at WRF? People genuinely enjoying the day.

Not every runner was chasing a PB. Some were soaking up the atmosphere, running with mates, taking in the views and just enjoying being part of such an awesome event. That’s exactly what WRF is all about 🌊🏃‍♂️

Good people, good energy and a pretty great way to spend a Sunday!
