Women are Yin, men are Yang… but it’s not that simple.
In traditional Chinese medicine, Yin and Yang exist in everyone.
But traditionally, the female body is considered to have a stronger Yin influence, while the male body has a stronger Yang influence.
Think of Yin as the part of us that receives, nourishes, stores and restores.
And Yang as the part that warms, moves, activates and transforms.
But a woman isn’t simply Yin.
She needs Yang to move and transform what Yin has created.
And a man isn’t simply Yang.
He needs Yin to nourish and provide substance for all that activity.
☯️ Yin needs Yang. Yang needs Yin.
The difference, according to ancient Chinese medicine, is the balance and emphasis between the two.
And nowhere is this relationship more beautifully demonstrated than in the female reproductive cycle.
