Hi All,
Well hasn't the Presidential Cup season flown! This Saturday is the Final Round of the 2024 Presidential Cup.
Firstly just a timely reminder to those of you that still haven't paid their $10 fee for this season can you please get it to Allan or the bar staff this week thanks.
Secondly due to the low response to our emails regarding this year's Presentations and Ambrose, we will have to revert back to the presentations to The Premiers & Tom Hicks Medal on the Members Draw on a Wednesday night in October, date TBC.
The first game of the final round has the battle for The Premiership for 2025! Top placed Green Machine is taking on 2nd placed Energiser Bunnies! The winner of this match could potentially be this year's winner! With a very depleted Team Palmer playing tomorrow we may well see Team Hagen come out in force (with maybe their Captain turning up) and win convincingly!
The fight for 2nd place could see any one of 5 teams come out victorious depending on results! So the result of Navy Blues and Men In Black will be a very interesting proposition. With both teams dropping out of the race last round with defeats, I'm sure Team Snead and Team Player will be engaging in a thrilling contest!
The 3rd game of the final round sees the fight for the wooden spoon, with Hogan's Heroes taking on The Canaries! After Team Nicklaus's win last round that moved them above Team Hogan, the yellow shirt brigade will be out swinging tomorrow!
The final game of the round has The Red Rockets playing The Blue Bloods. After last rounds victory by Team Jones, they will definitely be looking for blood against Team Woods and either team could potentially finish in 2nd place with a win!
So Good Luck to all teams tomorrow, go out and give it your all and we will be waiting in anticipation for the final results!
We have a very tight leaderboard for The Tom Hicks Medal, (Individual Winner) so make sure you're out there competing tomorrow, as you never know you might end up with this prestigious medal around your neck!

Hi All,
Welcome back to the penultimate round results. There was a huge movement around the table after this round which included some large wins!
The 1st game was played between last year's Premiers Navy Blues and equal 2nd placed Energiser Bunnies. This was to be one of the games of the round, but it proved to be an absolute trouncing with Team Hagen convincingly defeating Team Snead by a massive 4.2 points! This now moves The Energiser Bunnies into 2nd place outright!
The 2nd game was also another game of the round with 2nd placed Men In Black taking on top of the table Green Machine. This ended up with a 1.2 point win to Team Palmer over a disappointed Team Player! This result has now placed The Green Machine on top and Men In Black falling to 3rd place!
The 3rd game of this round saw The Blue Bloods going up against Hogan's Heroes. Well it was a great win by Team Jones over Team Hogan resulting in a 1.75 point win! This moves The Blue Bloods into equal 3rd place!
The final game of this round saw The Red 'Hot' Rockets taking on The Canaries. This ended up with an upset win to Team Nicklaus over in-form Team Woods by 1.4 points!
This has set up the final round on September 14th extremely entertaining as the eventual winners spot is still up for grabs! But also remember don't give up if you're not in contention because the individual Medal "Tom Hicks Medal" is still up for grabs. So let's see a huge turn out of players for the final round.

Hi all we have only received 1 response about the end of season presentations! We need a response within this week! If we don't get a very good response, obviously it won't be organised. We would like everyones opinions as to how we do the end of season presentations for The Premiers and The Tom Hicks Trophies! We're suggesting holding a 9 hole ambrose event between teams on a Sunday in October followed by a BBQ get together afterwards to present the winning teams and players with the spoils! Could you all please RSVP via email so we can see what everyone thinks!

Well it doesn't seem that long ago that we played our last round of the Presidential Cup, I guess it was only 2 weeks ago due to our postponed 4th Round!
There are a lot of games here that will have the potential to throw the whole table around in this Penultimate Round 6!
First up we have last year's Premiers and equal 2nd placed Navy Blues taking on also 2nd placed Energiser Bunnies! A percentage win by either Team Snead or Team Hagen here could potentially shoot them to the top of the table for the last round!
The second match must be the biggest of this round with table leaders Green Machine taking on 2nd placed Men In Black! Rumour has it that Team Palmer's captain is running scared and refuses to play! Watch this space!
Our 3rd game for this penultimate round has Hogan's Heroes taking on The Blue Bloods. With Team Hogan only 1 win behind Team Jones, this makes for an interesting result as The Blue Bloods could potentially push for a 2nd place on the table depending on other results!
The 4th game is a very interesting game with the bonus that The Red Rockets could jet up into top spot if they can climb over The Canaries, depending upon other results!
I believe Team Nicklaus will be out in force as usual to make sure Team Woods can't collect the points!
Well this could potentially throw the whole table around and set us up for an awesome final round! Good luck to everyone.

Hi All,
Well you guys have really thrown the cats among the pigeons this round! There were some great upsets again which has really tightened the whole competition up.
The 1st game saw last year's Premiers Navy Blues taking on undefeated Green Machine! Well I'm sure there were some green faces in Team Palmer after Team Snead had a convincing win by 1.2 points! Which still leaves Green Machine in top spot and Navy Blues in 3rd place!
The 2nd game was between The Men In Black and the Energiser Bunnies! Well it looks like Team Hagen can play without their illustrious leader, by defeating Team Player by 1 point! This leaves both teams in the same positions on the table, with The Men In Black in 2nd place and The Energiser Bunnies in 5th place.
The 3rd game of this round saw the 4th placed Red Rockets take on 7th placed Hogan's Heroes. It was another great win by Team Woods over Team Hogan by a close fought .8 of a point! This leaves both teams in the same positions on the table.
The final game of the round was a beauty between The Blue Bloods and The Canaries! Well Team Nicklaus can't take a trick, narrowly losing to Team Jones by just .425 of a point and they had the 2nd highest score of the round, Bad Luck fellas!
So after these results, believe it or not the whole table still stayed exactly the same, but has drastically closed up the gaps! With The Green Machine still on top by 1 game from 4 teams equal 2nd only 1 game behind! The Blue Bloods are only 1 game behind those teams!
With the table so close with only 2 rounds remaining it will be even more important to show up for your team in the next 2 rounds!
The next round will be played in just over a week, on Saturday 17th August.

Hi All,
After a very eventful Round 4, we have Round 5 happening tomorrow! With the table moving around after the last round, this week's games could throw another surprise or 2!
Ok up 1st this week we have what should be the game of the round with last year's Premiers The Navy Blues, who dropped to 3rd after last rounds defeat, taking on undefeated table leaders The Green Machine. We know there will be more than just the game on the line, as there are a lot of ego's to bust here!
The next game has 2nd placed Men In Black taking on another ego based team, Energiser Bunnies! The question on everyone's lips is, will The Bunnies Captain finally help out, as he has been a no show lately!
The 3rd game sees 2 teams that had great wins last round and their confidences are right up there! This sees 7th placed Hogan's Heroes taking on the big movers, Red Rockets! There is only 1 game separating these 2 teams, so I'm sure they'll show up in numbers to take up the challenge!
The last game of this round will have bottom placed Canaries taking on The Blue Bloods and with both teams locked on 1 win each there should be fireworks going off here!
So make sure you make an effort to support your team and we look forward to seeing everyone out there in their respective colours supporting their teams!

Welcome to the 4th Round results of The Presidential Cup.
Well as it turned out the weather wasn't anywhere near as bad as the forecast! Unfortunately a lot of players took heed of the forecast and this resulted in a very low number of participants. So it was a very interesting Round with few numbers in some teams.
1st up was the current Premiers The Navy Blues up against bottom side The Canaries and there was a huge upset here with Team Nicklaus dishing it up to Team Snead with a convincing win by 1.25 points! Well done guys!
The next game had the 5th placed Red Rockets taking on equal top Men In Black. This was another huge upset win to Team Woods by smashing Team Player by 2.5 points!
The 3rd game had equal top Green Machine taking on 6th placed The Blue Bloods. This was actually THE GAME of the round with Team Palmer just edging out Team Jones by the small margin of .15 of a point! Bad luck Blue Bloods, had you had 1 or 2 more players turn up you probably would have taken the chocolates.
The last game of the 4th round had 4th placed Energiser Bunnies taking on 7th placed Hogan's Heroes! This game turned out to be another huge upset with Team Hogan sealing the victory over Team Hagen by a well scored 1.72 points!
Well done to all that did get out there and represent their respective teams, it was great to see the lower teams dishing it up to the higher placed teams, which has swung the table around with 3 rounds to go! Below are the results for you to view.
The next round will be played on Saturday 3rd August, so the Teams will be looking for all their players to turn up and make a run for this year's flag!

Welcome to the preview of Round 4 of The Presidential Cup 2024. This will make a very interesting round with the top 4 playing the bottom 4. We think there may be a few upsets this weekend!
Our first game of Round 4 has 3rd placed Navy Blues taking on Wooden Spooners The Canaries! Team Nicklaus has been out there with a huge presence every round and we expect there may be an upset brewing here, as displayed last round when Team Snead went down!
The next game has undefeated Men In Black taking on The Slayers of Round 3 The Red Rockets! After defeating last year's champions, Team Woods are prancing around and hoping for back to back victories. But the steady hands in Team Player will be at their best to try and stay undefeated!
The 3rd round sees the undefeated Green Machine taking on 6th placed Blue Bloods. Now if Team Jones follows on from their form this season, which will see them taking a win! Team Palmer are trotting about and they may get bucked this week!
The final game of round 4 has 4th placed Energiser Bunnies taking on 7th placed Hogan's Heroes. Team Hogan have been around the mark and this will be their chance to pounce on their opposition.
It may be a little wet under feet, but don't let that stop you from giving your all for your team. Hope to see as many of you as possible out there Saturday!
