Chakras with Michelle C. The information I provide will give you the opportunity to make small changes in your life that in turn will create larger positive changes over time.

Yoga • AromaYoga • Chakra Readings • Intuitive Treatments 🌿

Exploring the body, essential oils, energy, and the ordinary practices that help us notice what matters. Through my Chakra readings I bring through channeled guidance from your higher self, either directly through conversation or through my chakra readings or a combination of both. I have done readings for hundreds of clients during the past 20 years and have witnessed remarkable changes. Some began as small kernels of information as seemingly innocuous as changing the colour of the clothes you wear to changing jobs and what I am certain of is that your higher self wants you to be as happy as humanly possible and will work cooperatively with you to achieve this goal. Sometimes we just need a little clear guidance from an authentic source and a gentle hand and I would be honoured if you would allow me to be that source to enable you to be the best possible version of yourself in this lifetime. As we sat together, breathing in, breathing out, on the old wooden benches that surround Delaneys Creek Hall, it was impossible not to think of the people who sat there before us.

For more than a century, people have come through those doors to gather as a community. They danced, listened, laughed, talked, celebrated and shared ordinary parts of their lives together.

And there we were, practising yoga!

A practice whose very name speaks of joining and connection in a hall built for much the same reason.

It felt rather lovely to put Rose at the centre of that story. 🌹

And then there is Mary Power. I told her story, with the disclaimer that I don't actually know if it's true. 😂 Perhaps that's another invitation for us to be curious, to ask, and to be still enough to listen.

What do you love so much it can take your breath away?

It’s a beautiful question.
And perhaps not one we need to answer quickly.

This Friday in AromaYoga, we’ll explore strength with lightness, movement with attention, and the simple practice of taking care of what is in front of us.

You don’t need to arrive with an answer.
Just come as you are. 🌿

🌿 Monday Conversation

Keep going.
My friend Emma dropped in last Monday on her way from a landscaping job.

We were both in work clothes, looking a little messy, eating mulberries straight from the tree and sharing oranges from my garden.

It wasn't a day off.
It wasn't a special occasion.
It was Monday. There was work to do. There would be more work tomorrow.

And right there in the middle of an ordinary working day was this completely delicious little moment.

Friends. Mulberries. Oranges. Standing under a tree in the sunshine.

Maybe this is part of why we keep going.
Not because every Monday becomes a field of sunflowers. 😂

But because sometimes, right in the middle of what needs doing, there is this. 😍

Keep going.
And perhaps notice what is growing along the way. 🌿

Give your body a little more time this Spring 🌸

“I stretch, but the same tight places keep returning.”

Sound familiar?
What if stretching harder isn't the only way to work with tightness?

Yin Yoga approaches the body differently.

Using supported poses held for longer periods, Yin gives us time to work differently with the body, including the connective tissues and fascia that support and connect us.

Rather than continually moving through a stretch, we spend some time there noticing how the body responds and adjusting the pose to suit the person practising it.

Over five Monday evenings this Spring, we'll combine Hatha and Yin Yoga.

We'll begin with familiar movement and active Hatha practice before exploring accessible Yin poses, with plenty of options and support.

You don't need to have practised Yin before.
You don't need to be particularly flexible.

And we're certainly not interested in seeing how far you can stretch. 😊

It's not about stretching harder. It's about giving the body time to respond.

🌿Dear Friday AromaYoga,

Thank you, as always, for co-creating these classes with me.

No matter how much reading, planning, or intention I bring to a class, once we're all on the mats together, it goes where it goes.

There was a lot happening in our Fennel practice yesterday, but one experiment particularly stayed with me.

I gave you an instruction and then asked you to listen for the instruction coming from your own body. To let your body complete the pose from the inside, rather than simply following instructions from the outside.

It sounded easy enough. Listen to your body.

But when someone else is telling you what to do, it can be surprisingly difficult to keep listening to yourself. There was a genuine choice to make, and I loved that you recognised how challenging that actually was.

And suddenly, our exploration of the Solar Plexus Chakra will, alongside digestion and fennel, movement and completion, become much more interesting.

Has something been completed inside you, or are you still losing your breath over it?

And sometimes something has already been completed. Can we let it be complete?

And then, some practical Fennel wisdom from Helen's handbag!

She keeps fennel seeds handy in case of an upset tummy.
Of course she does. 😂

Thank you for bringing your bodies, your curiosity, your own knowing, and apparently your own herbs. 🌿😂

🌿 Friday AromaYoga — 9am

Tomorrow we'll be working with Fennel — a beautiful aromatic plant with a long history of use in food, traditional medicine and aromatherapy.

Physically, Fennel has long been associated with the digestive system, which in our practice also brings us to the Solar Plexus Chakra. Energetically, Fennel has some interesting associations with movement and completion — something it has given me quite a bit to think about this week.

Not pushing ourselves forward or trying harder.

The quieter kind of movement that happens when something is given somewhere to go — a breath, a thought, a feeling, a conversation, even a part of the body that's been asking for a little attention.

Through aroma, breath, yoga and a few moments of reflection, we'll explore that idea together.

You don't need to be flexible.

You don't need to know anything about essential oils.

And you certainly don't need to arrive feeling fabulous. 😊

Just come as you are. We'll begin there.

🌿 Monday Evening Yoga tonight at 6pm

Tonight we'll begin with our familiar Hatha practice, moving, stretching, strengthening, and giving the body a chance to arrive.

Then we’ll change the pace.

We’ll finish with a little taste of Yin, using support and spending a little longer in a few familiar shapes.

Not stretching harder.
Just giving the body time to respond.

Next Monday our five-week Spring Hatha & Yin series begins, so tonight is a lovely place to start if you're curious, new to yoga, or haven't been on a mat for a while.

You don't need to be flexible.
You don't need to know anything about Yin.

And yes… you are absolutely allowed to use the bolster. 😂

🌿 Monday Conversation

Monday is already happening. Put something useful in it.
I was thinking about this while getting a few things ready ahead of time.

Not because Monday needs to be perfectly organised.
Just because sometimes it's nice when Earlier You has thought about Later You. 😂

Yoga? Put it in your Monday.
Dinner already made? Even better.
Something small you know will make the day easier? Do that.

Make it easy before it gets hard.

Nothing heroic required. 💚

🌿 Meet the teachers.

This spring, there are three of us teaching at Yoga at Delaneys Creek Hall: Theresa, Michelle, and Lenora.

Three different teachers, with different experiences, personalities, and ways of meeting you on the mat.

What we share is a love of making yoga something you can actually practise in the middle of an ordinary life.

You don't need to be flexible. You don't need to know the poses, and you definitely don't need to arrive having already become calm. 😅

You just need to come as you are.

Over spring, you'll find different ways to practise with us, from moving and strengthening to slowing things right down.

Theresa • Michelle • Lenora

Three teachers. One little hall.

Plenty of room for you. 🌿
