βš½οΈπŸ’™ Woodside Warriors U7 Blue – Match Report πŸ’™βš½οΈ

πŸ“ Nairne Oval
πŸ†š Nairne U7 vs Woodside Warriors U7 Blue
🌟 Final Score: Woodside 6 – Nairne 2 🌟

What a fantastic effort from our Warriors this week! πŸŒ§οΈβ˜€οΈ The game started with rain falling across the pitch, but by the final whistle the sun was shining and so were our players. It was another brilliant display of teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship from both sides.

A big shout-out to Nairne, who played a great game and kept our boys working hard right until the end. πŸ‘βš½

πŸ”₯ Player Highlights πŸ”₯

🌟 Jasper – Man of the Match 🌟

What a game from Jasper! Usually one of our reliable defenders, this week he switched roles and pushed further up the field into attack. He embraced the challenge, worked tirelessly, and was involved all over the pitch. His willingness to try something new and give it everything earned him a well-deserved Man of the Match award! πŸ†βš½

πŸ›‘οΈ Alfie

Alfie was an outstanding defender today. Time and time again he stepped in to stop attacks, win the ball back, and help his teammates. His positioning and determination made a huge difference for the team. πŸ’ͺ

πŸš€ Arthur

Arthur showed incredible energy all game long. His powerful kicks sent the ball flying up the field, and he never stopped running, chasing the play from one end of the pitch to the other. His effort and enthusiasm were fantastic to watch! βš½πŸ’¨

🎯 Ryder

Ryder looked ready for anything that came his way today. His awareness, passing, and teamwork were outstanding, with some brilliant passes helping create opportunities all over the field. πŸ‘

⚽ Rory

Rory was our key striker in the first half and kept the pressure on from the very beginning. His movement, attacking runs, and willingness to chase every ball helped set the tone for the team early in the game. πŸ’¨

⚽ Jameson

Jameson took over the striker role in the second half and continued the attacking momentum. His confidence around goal and relentless effort kept the Nairne defence busy and helped drive the team forward. πŸš€

πŸ’™ Tommy

Tommy was unfortunately off sick this week and was definitely missed by his teammates. We hope you're feeling better soon and can't wait to see you back out there with the team next week! ⚽

One thing that continues to impress every week is how much the boys are growing as a team. The passing, communication, support, and encouragement for one another were fantastic to see. Every player contributed, every player worked hard, and every player played their part in a terrific team win.

πŸ‘ A huge thank you to all our families for supporting the team each week, rain or shine. Seeing the boys having fun, working together, and growing in confidence is what junior soccer is all about.

πŸ’™ So proud of our Warriors this week. Well done, boys! βš½πŸŽ‰

Woodside Warriors vs Bridgewater JSC

Round 5 saw the Woodside Warriors Under 11s take on Bridgewater JSC at Basket Range Oval. Despite a very wet start to the morning, the weather improved before kick-off, with only a few light showers during the match and even some welcome sunshine breaking through.

The Warriors got off to a flying start, demonstrating how well they have come together as a team over recent weeks. Excellent passing combinations and strong teamwork were on display across the field from the opening whistle.

In the first half, Ethan Liu stood strong in goal, supported by a solid defensive unit that prevented Bridgewater from finding the back of the net.

After a well-earned fruit break and a positive half-time team talk from the coach, the players returned to the field full of energy and determination. The second half saw another outstanding defensive performance, with Daniel Ebdell keeping a clean sheet in goal. Up front, the Warriors' attacking players combined brilliantly, moving the ball confidently through the midfield and creating numerous scoring opportunities, with several players contributing goals.

The match finished on a high note, with Woodside celebrating a well-deserved team performance and another successful day on the pitch.

Woodside’s Lady Warriors took to the pitch for Round 7 this weekend, recording another win for the team against Mt Barker. It was cold and drizzly conditions on the artificial turf at Summit Sport and Recreation Park, but that didn’t stop the ladies from producing another strong performance from the opening whistle.

The result caps off an outstanding opening third of the season, with the Warriors now sitting equal top of the ladder β€” only trailing Sturt on goal difference. After facing every team once, the squad now heads into the next phase of the season, ready to take on each side again.

The group continues to grow stronger every week, building great connections on and off the pitch while playing exciting football with plenty of energy, fun and laughter along the way.
