Today marks the 10th year since the establishment of the Gepps Cross Futsal Club in 2014.
I am very proud of this club and the achievements we have made at all levels - capped off with the women’s team winning the Series Futsal Australia Cup in April 2017.
The club remains committed to further success in the future…whatever it may hold with the support of others that have their eyes set on bigger goals.
We would also like to pay tribute to every player that has worn the orange and black of our club. Whether Under 10, Under 13, Under 14, Under 21, Draft League, Senior Women’s or Senior Men’s or former players now at other clubs and our friends from interstate who have represented us at Series Futsal Australia ( Australian Futsal Club Championship ) - you have all contributed to the success of this club at some stage in the last nine years.

2015/16 – CHAMPIONS – Men’s SAFL Cup (defeated Newton Kings 7-2)

2016/17 – RUNNERS-UP – Men’s Series Australia South Australia Cup (defeated by West Lakes 7-5)
2016/17 – CHAMPIONS – Women’s Series Futsal South Australia Premier League in debut season
2016/17 – NATIONAL CHAMPIONS – Women’s Series Futsal Australia Cup (Melbourne)

Two appearances by Gepps Cross Women’s team at FAFL/SFA Cups (Melbourne 2017 and Adelaide 2017/18)
..and finally friendships made locally, interstate and overseas to last a lifetime.
At times, this games provides massive highs as well as undisputed lows. And whilst we have not yet achieved success at the Senior Men’s level, the club continues to strive for success until we achieve what we thoroughly deserve.
Thank you to Raff Frisina, Jamie Carbone, Adam Calandro and the South Australian Futsal League for giving me the opportunity to create a brand now known around Australia.
I don’t know what the immediate goals are for myself and the Gepps Cross Futsal Club, but I will in some way endeavour to make futsal in South Australia as good as it was a decade ago by working with whoever it takes to make it a success.
