Semi final wasn’t just our players representing, it was also our umpires!

What an amazing turn out for Hurricanes 💙💛

Thanks to Bec leading the pack umpiring Div 1. And to her trusty white pack: Amii, Charlea, Chloe and Miranda for turning up in your whites to proudly represent us. Games can’t go ahead without umpires and we are proud to say you are ours!

Thanks to our wonderful umpire's convenor for being our badged umpires biggest cheerleader!

🏐 SEMI FINALS 🎉

‼️Please Read ‼️

Hurricanes Family - it’s that time FINALS are here! It’s the big dance, the last hurrah and the moment our teams have been training for since March(ish)! Finals can feel like we are courtside at a Diamonds match. But let’s remember it's a Saturday sport. No contracts are being handed out. No selectors are hiding in the bushes. And for some of these games it’s kids who play netball because… well they love netball!

So here is our light-hearted but totally serious;

~ Finals Chill Code ~

💙 Pick your spot: We know you want the best spot on the court, but please plonk yourself behind the line on the adjacent court. The umpires need to see (they’re not psychic), coaches/managers need room and tripping over a rogue drink bottle isn’t in anyone’s finals game plan.

💙 Coach knows best: They’ve got the game plan, the vision, the clipboard and possibly a secret stash of red frogs. Every decision is made with the teams success in mind - even the ones that feel like a plot twist no one saw coming. Trust the process!

💙 Court time reality check: Whether your little darling is racking up court time or popping in for a quick finals cameo - per Hurricanes finals etiquette, all fit (non-injured) players up to Cadets should get a minimum of 15mins during finals games. These games are played to the best of the teams ability, every team member contributed to the games leading up to finals, now is our time to shine as winners. Trust our coaches and valued support members to assist our teams succeed in the Finals series!

💙 Positive vibes only: Your game day job? Be the ultimate hype crew! Bring the noise, bring the smiles and bring the kind of energy that makes players feel like superstars! No yelling at umpires! We don’t want anyone pulling a hammy from sideline stress.

In summary: Let the umpires umpire, scorers score, coaches coach and players play the game. Bring the noise, back the team, trust the coach and clap for everyone! Lets be the kind of club people point at and say, “Now they know how to do finals”
