On April 12th, Helix enters the Gold Coast Triathlon Series as teams — and each team member does just ONE leg. You pick swim, bike or run. We handle the rest.
We match teams by ability so everyone finishes at the same time — which makes for the most exciting, tight racing you'll ever experience.
It's the perfect way to see what triathlon really feels like, without needing to be an expert at everything. Most people who do it once want to race the full event the following year. 😊

We came 13th in Australia at the weekend. 🏅

For a small club from Yeerongpilly, competing against clubs from across the country — that result means everything to us.

It's not the biggest number. But behind it is 13 years of personalised coaching, early mornings at Helix HQ, and athletes who showed up for each other every single week.

Now this ⬆️ is a medal Monday for the books!

Yesterday the Helix crew raced the biggest and best long distance triathlon on the planet,

From the smallest details to the biggest “wows” this race has it all. With a mantra of all for the athlete, it’s easy to see why people come back year after year. 300,000 spectators, 7,500 volunteers and 5,000 athletes…..it’s huge on every level and the Helix crew performances were all huge in their own ways.

We’re very proud of all the training, preparation and racing of this crew, supported by an incredible support crew all day (and night).

Of course, we’ll be back in 2026 with a new crew. If you’re keen to join us, entries open 14 July so DM us today!

ANNUAL TEAM EVENT!

Another incredible team challenge today at the Gold Coast Queensland Triathlon Series event.

It was 5 Helix teams taking on the sprint distance race with each person doing one leg, in teams created by coach David Tabernacle.

The finish was tight was line honours went to Team 2 pf Sophie, Emily and Alvin.

This event is a great way for our newbies to dip their toes into the sport, meet the other Helix crew members and for those more experienced to push themselves for glory.

Helix Beginners Program

What we hear:
- I’ll join when I get a bit fitter 💪
- I’m not sure where to start 🤷
- I don’t know what I need 🤷‍♂️
- I’m too nervous, I’ll just try it on my own for a while 😨

What we know:
- Everyone is nervous to begin with and we know exactly how to overcome that
- Everyone is worried about or afraid of something and we know how to conquer that
- Everyone starts somewhere - you should start with us! 🧬

In just 4 weeks, you can be ready to tackle your first triathlon.

We have 2 intakes for our 4 week program with spaces still available:

- Start Saturday 25 January 2025 and finish the program completing the enticer event at Raby Bay on Sunday 23 February 2025 🏊‍♂️🚴🏃‍♂️
- Start Saturday 12 April 2025 and finish the program completing the enticer event at Moreton Bay on Sunday 11 May 🏊‍♂️🚴🏃‍♂️

You’ll be coached by Coach Dave, an award winning accredited coach with decades of experience coaching beginners through to World Champions. He’s fun, relaxed, knowledgable and just loves seeing people get started and achieve their goals.

So what’s involved?

Each 4 week program includes a double session as follows:
Saturday 25 January and 15 February - Swim and run session at Corinda Pool 2-4pm
Saturday 1 February and 8 February - Bike and run session at Albert Bishop Park, Nundah 2-4pm

Saturday 12 April and 3 May - Swim and run session at Corinda Pool 2-4pm
Saturday 19 April and 26 April - Bike and run session at Albert Bishop Park, Nundah 2-4pm

Sessions will include skills, fitness, strategies for race day, transition explanations and more! Each week you’ll be given a guide by Coach Dave on what else you might like to consider including in your preparation.

What do you need?
- Running shoes (any kind) 🏃‍♀️👟
- Goggles (swim cap gift from Helix!) 🏊🥽
- Swimwear 👙
- Working bike of any kind (needs brakes!) and a helmet 🚴‍♀️ ⛑

That’s it. You don’t need anything fancy to get started.

Cost - $150 (does not include pool entry or race entry). Includes a trial membership with AusTriathlon, insurance, swim cap from Helix and of course a great experience!
