Signature Tours Golf Day

Thankyou to Michael from Signature Tours and the team of Rob, Michael, Al, Kathy, Phil and Gayelene for organising another great day. It was a great field of 144 players and lots of fun was had. Yeppoon Golf Club would also like to thank Michael (Signature Tours) for his generous donations to our Juniors. Thankyou also to the green staff, bar staff, the participants who travelled and Micks Meats for sponsoring the meat.

Congratulations to Lily McGuiness!

Lily has played in VIC at the national school sport championship held at Moonah links GC. She was named the Qld Captain at the start of the week and her results have been fantastic. She was tied 6 in stroke and in match play won 3 out of 4 games, playing in position 1. With these amazing results Lily was selected in the All Australia merit team. Well done Lily!

Course Update

We have a lot going on this month, we commenced clearing the fence line along hole 1 for the installation of the new chain wire fence, this is to be completed in the coming months and will protect the course from the damage we have sustained from E Bikes. Following this we will move to the fence along hole 2.

We have commenced the phase 2 irrigation works on holes 1 to 6, this will cause holes to be closed or tees to be relocated over the next 2 months, please take notice of information on course changes during this time.

In addition, we have prioritized the refurbishment of the car park in the next 12 months, some works will begin to facilitate this project starting today with tree loppers removing trees between the carpark and the 12th green.

Veterans News

The Tropic of Capricorn Veterans Open finished on Monday and Yeppoon players were well to the fore.
Sharon Ischenko and Elaine Stewart were the overall winners of The Ladies divisions. David Pollitt was the winner of the Men’s Division 2 whilst Paul Lowe was runner up for Division 3.
The were many winner and rundown prizes received by Yeppoon players at the individual competit6ions throughout the Carnival.
A big thank you to the Sponsors of our Veterans Open – Mick Cranny, KBSC, Livingstone Shire and our local MPs Nigel Hutton and Michelle Landry. Congratulations to our Open Champions Jan Farquhar and Mark Hennig who prevailed on the day.
Finally a big thank you to Margaret Roberts and Jillian Lowry for arranging the lunch and to Jacqui Sinclair, Liz Moss and Pam Pownall for putting the packs together. Also Peter Lowry, Geoff Shields Bill Delforce and Neville Burn for their help.
