Flyball Fanatics Flyball Fanatics are a flyball team in Rocklea, Brisbane. We train Wed night and Sun arvo. 🐾 Flyball is a dog sport enjoyed by canines and humans alike.

It is a relay race between 2 teams of four dogs (of various shapes and sizes). Each dog must jump over four hurdles, retrieve a ball and return over the four hurdles before the next dog in the team can begin. Flyball is sometimes called Drag Racing for Dogs due to the lights that start the race off. As the lights count down to the start, the dogs excitement (and noise) builds. So why should you give flyball a go? Because its addictive, exciting, tires your dog out, and above all its fun for you and your four-legged best friend! We are friendly bunch of people and dogs who like to have a good time. The Flyball Fanatics are a Flyball team in Brisbane, QLD. Australia. We teach dogs how to play flyball at Rocklea. We compete in Flyball competitions nationwide. Come and join us today! For more information on Flyball or to find another club near you, visit www.flyball.org.au

It’s been a whirlwind few weeks for the Fanatics camp off the back of our Nationals trip, but two weekends ago we competed at Supersonics Flyball Racing Wounded Heroes Cup! 🏆 A wonderful annual event that raises funds for the Wounded Heroes charity who support veterans and their families. A big congratulations to Supersonics for their hard work making sure this year the cheque was even larger than last years! 🫶🏼

Thanks as always to the officials and organisers because without you, we can’t run. 🙌🏼

For the first time ever, we had FOUR teams entered meaning it was a very busy weekend for all of us. 😂 All the dogs did us proud as we shuffled the deck and ran some new combos to see where all the dogs fit so we can work on things over the summer.

Congratulations to Montana and Kym who backed up from nats and achieved her next title! 🧡

Congratulations to Sahara and Mel who achieved the holy grail for start dogs, a perfect 0.000 start! 💪🏼

And to top off the weekend, Fanatic Flex made it in to the run off race and won the trophy! 🤯 Such an amazing achievement, well done! 👏🏼

As we wind down the season, we’re already preparing for next year with a couple more road trips and lots more fun! 💙💚💛

🏆 Flyball Nationals 2026 🏆

We came, we ran and we had so much fun! We brought two teams with us and enough support dogs for another two teams! 😂

Three cheers for T-Keilor Flyball Club for hosting! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 It’s no mean feat to organise such a big event and we’re grateful for the time, energy and effort that goes in. Thanks also to the officials across the weekend, we couldn’t run without you. 🫶🏼

Our two teams did us SO proud!

Flex competed in Div 4 and came home with the trophy! 🏆 It’s pretty exciting to be able to call ourselves Australian National Champions! The first time in a long time for Fanatics. 🤩 It was a hard fought win with some great close racing and with only one chance to run against each team each day, we had to stay on our toes. The dogs all ran amazingly well with each other. Plenty of fist bumps all around. 👊🏼

Fusion competed in Div 5 and managed to run so well that we broke out! 🤪 It’s a bit of a bitter pill to swallow when you break out at such a big event after having run so consistently in the lead up. But, how we can we be sad when our dogs ran so well that they achieved a new PB four times across the weekend! 🙌🏼 In the end they ran a whole 1.2 seconds faster than they have ever run together before! Must have been the cold weather. 😂 And then to top things off, our cocker Moose won dog of the division! ⭐️

Safe travels to all those on the journey home. We’ll be back home before the end of the week so we can get ready for Wounded Heroes Cup, because what’s the best way to get over a flyball hangover weekend? Do it all again the next weekend! 😎
