π Happy Motherβs Day from First TKD WA! π Today we celebrate the incredible mothers across all our WA branches who continue to inspire us both on and off the dojang floor. Our 2026 Motherβs Day Collage is a tribute to the women who not only encourage their children through their TaeKwonDo journey, but who also have the courage and commitment to train alongside them. π₯
There is something truly special about a mother who leads by example. β€οΈ Through every class, every challenge, and every grading, these women show their children the value of perseverance, humility, discipline, and inner strength. πͺ They prove that growth never has an age limit and that true leadership comes through action.
Between work, family commitments, and the endless responsibilities of everyday life, our TKD mums still make time to better themselves physically and mentally. π That dedication deserves enormous respect. Their presence within our dojangs helps create the strong family culture that First TKD is proud of. π
To every mother in our First TKD family β thank you for your support, your kindness, your resilience, and the example you set for the next generation. π· We are proud to have you as part of our community and grateful for everything you do.
If this collage touches your heart, please like β€οΈ, comment π¬, and share π as we celebrate these amazing women today.

Instructor Amy in action π₯ Pictured here is Instructor Amy executing a sharp back fist while sparring with Instructor Sal β a true display of timing, control, and confidence.
Amy began her TaeKwonDo journey at our Yokine Dojang in 2002 under the guidance of Instructor Arlene Lockwood, earning her Black Belt in 2009. What makes her journey truly inspiring isnβt just the milestone of achieving Black Belt β itβs the unwavering dedication that followed.
For 24 years, Amy has continuously trained, developed her skills, and generously given back by teaching and mentoring students at our Yokine branch. Her commitment to self-improvement and to the growth of others embodies the true spirit of Taekwondo.
Consistency. Loyalty. Leadership. ππ₯
Amy is a shining example that success in martial arts isnβt built overnight β itβs forged through years of discipline, resilience, and passion.
We are proud to have you leading from the front, Amy! π₯

π Fatherβs Day 2025 π At First TaeKwonDo WA, we proudly honour the many fathers who step onto the training floor alongside their children.
TaeKwonDo is more than a martial art β it is a lifelong journey of discipline, respect, and perseverance. When fathers and children train together, the benefits reach far beyond fitness and technique. Fathers lead by example, showing their children the value of commitment, resilience, and personal growth. In a world where many young people look to outside influences as role models, the presence of a father to look up to β right beside them on the Dojang floor β is truly invaluable. Acta Non Verba!
Training side by side, fathers and children share in both triumphs and challenges. They sweat together, overcome difficulties together, and learn that progress comes through patience, effort, grit, and determination. These lessons forge not only stronger martial artists, but also stronger individuals equipped with the mental fortitude to face lifeβs demands.
Beyond the kicks and patterns, these shared experiences strengthen family bonds, build confidence, and create memories that will be cherished for years to come.
This Fatherβs Day, we pay tribute to all the fathers who guide, encourage, and inspire β both inside and outside the dojang. Your example is a lasting gift, proving that the greatest lessons are not spoken, but lived.
From all of us at First TaeKwonDo WA, we wish you a very Happy Fatherβs Day.

πΈ Happy Motherβs Day from First TKD WA! πΈ Weβre proud to share our 2025 Motherβs Day Video Collage β a celebration of the exceptional mothers training across all our WA branches.
These inspiring women donβt just support their childrenβs TaeKwonDo journeys β they step onto the dojang floor themselves, leading by example with strength, resilience, and humility. As Instructors, we hold the deepest respect for all parents who train with their children, but today, we especially acknowledge the dedication of our TKD mums.
Balancing work, family, and countless daily responsibilities, these mothers still find the time and determination to commit to their own training. That speaks volumes. Their presence in class sends a powerful message: growth, discipline, and perseverance are values worth living β not just teaching.
To all the mothers in our First TKD community β we see you, we admire you, and we thank you. ππͺ
