After collaborating with Serafin Machinery to source some wooden crates for our workshop projects, the team had a great idea — why not turn one into a dog kennel! 🐶🔨
We started by fully insulating the crate before carefully measuring, cutting and applying the outer timber. The team then designed and constructed the lid and opening before adding the finishing touches with lacquer and paint.
What started as a simple wooden crate has been transformed into a fantastic, practical and completely unique dog kennel! 👏
What a great idea and what an amazing, finished product! Great work, team! 🐾

🔨 A big job well done! 💪
With our new workshop now up and running, it was time to relocate all of our timber into our storage facility.
The boys got stuck straight into the job — loading the timber onto the trailer, carefully stacking it away in our storage unit, and then using our workshop tools to clean and tidy the area once everything was moved.
It was a great team effort that took plenty of hard work, teamwork and organisation. 👏
Great work, boys! You should all be proud of what a fantastic job ! 🔨💪

🧩 George’s Puzzle Board Project! 🎨
George came into the workshop with an idea he had been thinking about — he wanted to create his very own board to make putting his puzzles together easier!
After brainstorming with the workshop team, they came up with a great plan. Rather than joining lots of smaller pieces of timber together, they decided to repurpose the side of an old crate, creating one large, flat surface for his puzzle board.
George got to work sanding the timber before choosing and applying his own paint colour. 🎨
What a fantastic project, George! The finished board looks awesome, and we love the bright colour you chose — it will make those puzzle pieces much easier to see! 👏🧩

Powering Up Our Workshop! 🛠️
The workshop group are absolutely loving their new Makita drop saw and table saw! 🔥
These machines are significantly more powerful and efficient than the lower-grade equipment we previously used, allowing us to work with timber and other materials that we couldn’t cut before.
With greater power, precision and adjustable functions, the team can now take on a much wider range of projects, while making the process safer, easier and more efficient.
It’s fantastic to see the participants learning new skills, building confidence and making the most of our upgraded workshop! 👏🔨

Our power tool collection continues to grow as we work towards making our workshop program as safe, enjoyable and rewarding as possible! 🔨🛠️
Our participants absolutely love learning how to use new tools and equipment, building their confidence and developing new skills along the way.
With the right tools, our projects can be completed more safely, efficiently and once again, to an even higher standard — making the workshop an even better place to learn, create and achieve new goals! 💪✨

🔨 From rough timber to beautiful results! 🌿

The boys in our workshop program have been putting our new thicknesser to work, preparing timber for our upcoming projects.
Just look at the difference! 😍 The timber has gone from rough and uneven to smooth, clean and ready to use.
It’s fantastic seeing the participants learning new skills, gaining confidence with our tools and discovering how the right equipment can make projects safer, easier and more efficient. 👏🪵
