Exciting news 🤗 Damien Miller is putting his hand up and running a Junior Lawn Bowls Clinic @ The Young Sporties Bowling Club!!!

Thank you to Damien for volunteering your time to help develop Junior Bowls in Young.

If you know someone who might be interested in joining, come along Wednesday’s from 28th October and participate for FREE!!!

On Saturday at Mount Lewis, Jonathon Watson, Damien Miller and David Quigley contested the State Finals for the BPL Cup.
They won their first game against Northmead by winning both sets and defeated St Johns Park Saints in a tie–break in their second game. Unfortunately, they lost their third game to East Lismore in a tie–break and finished second in their section.
The St Johns Park team were the section winners on a count–back with three teams from the section having won two games. They went on to win their qualifying game and will be one of the two NSW representatives at the National Finals. A team from Figtree will be the other NSW representative.
Well done to the Young team on their performance.

Play at home on Thursday saw 18 players taking part in pleasant conditions.
Harold Anderson, Milan Brankovic and Craig Sleigh took out the vouchers with a 33–8 win. Othe game winners were Judith Mulligan, Max Penfold and Geoff Holt 27–13 and Jenny Holt, Albert Carter and Terry Mulligan 27–20.

Conditions on Saturday were also good with 12 players involved in closely contested games of Pairs.
The highest margin for the day was 6 shots with Milan Brankovic and Cliff Traynor winning their game 15–9.
Harold Anderson and Ivor Watkiss won 22–21 and Albert Carter and Terry Mulligan scored 5 shots on the final end to win 22–17.
