Just received this great photo from the 2020 GT8 IFMAR Worlds in Homestead, FL. It brings back amazing memories seeing ARCOR’s Paolo Inocencia together with Team Curaçao at one of the highest levels of the sport.

For Paolo, competing on the world stage was a tremendous experience, going head-to-head with the best GT drivers from around the globe. Finishing in the top half of the world’s best GT drivers was a fantastic achievement and a proud moment for Aruba RC Onroad Racing and CRCCDA Team Curaçao. 🔥 Tenth Scale Battle: Aruba vs Curaçao – Event Recap! 🔥

Last Sunday we wrapped up our final race of the year at the DOW parking lot in Wayaca, where ARCOR hosted the Tenth Scale Battle: Aruba vs Curaçao. Despite early morning showers, the team got the track prepped and we kicked off with a single round of qualifying followed by all finals.

The day brought exciting battles in both the 13.5T TC Electric class and the 200mm Nitro Sedan category, including a special appearance from Curaçao driver Jackbert de la Chiques. From tight wheel-to-wheel racing to a dramatic 30-minute nitro finale, the action kept everyone on their toes.

A big thank-you to all drivers, teams, volunteers, and sponsors who helped make this event—and the entire racing season—a success.

We now shift into the off-season until racing returns after Carnival season in February 2026!

🔥 TENTH SCALE BATTLE: ARUBA vs CURACAO – FINAL RACE OF THE YEAR! 🔥
DOW Parking Lot, Wayaca – Sunday, November 23

What a way to close out the 2025 season! ARCOR (Aruba Radio Control Onroad Racing) hosted our final race of the year, the Tenth Scale Battle: Aruba vs Curaçao, featuring none other than Curaçao’s mega-driver Jackbert de la Chiques, who came to challenge the field in the 13.5T TC Electric class. 🇦🇼⚡🇨🇼

Early morning showers delayed the event, but once the track was prepped, we kicked off with one qualifying round per category before heading straight into the finals.

A tight battle for the top spot between Abi and Paolo kept everyone hooked. In the decisive 3rd heat, Abi found the pace he needed to pull away and secure the overall win!

... impressive speed from ARCOR newcomer Hayley with his Capricorn chassis to take a comfortable 3rd place.

🔥 200mm NITRO SEDAN – 30-MINUTE FINAL RESULT

To close the day, the 200mm Nitro Sedan class delivered a thrilling 30-minute finale. Paolo held the lead from start to finish, never looking back. A strong early charge from Nordin pushed him up to 2nd place, but engine tuning issues forced him to retire.

After 30 minutes and 109 laps, Paolo’s flawless drive with his Capricorn rig secured the win. Final results:

🔥 ARCOR 1:8 Onroad Challenge – Race Recap! 🔥
Yesterday, 16 November 2025, at the DOW parking lot track in Wayaca, ARCOR (Aruba Radio Control Onroad Racing) hosted an action-packed 1:8 Onroad Challenge, where 7 drivers battled fiercely for the top spot.

After qualifying, Paolo Inocencia secured TQ, followed closely by Abi Lake, setting the stage for an intense 30-minute final.

In the main event, Paolo pulled away with a commanding lead, but a catastrophic electrical cut-off sent his Capricorn flying into a curb, ending his race prematurely. Abi, who was also far in front of the pack, was also sidelined after a heavy wreck—opening the door for newcomer Reintje Wever and veteran Marcel Zievinger, both driving Serpents, to fight for victory AND WHAT A SHOW IT WAS!!!

💥 After a tough and exciting battle, Reintje Wever’s perseverance and hard work truly paid off. His commitment to the sport and his dedication—being at the track every Sunday—clearly showed, as he pushed through the pressure and came out on top. Marcel followed closely behind, securing a strong second place.

🏁 Aruba is ON FIRE at the Copa America Grand Prix 2025! 🇦🇼🔥🔥
Team ARCOR set the track on fire last weekend in Santo Domingo! 🔥 From Thursday through Sunday, the team gave their all — making every adjustment needed to stay competitive in their categories.

After four rounds of qualifying, Paolo Inocencia secured TQ (Top Qualifier) status and went on to win the 30-minute Final! 🏆

Nordin Tromp followed with an impressive 2nd place finish! 🥇🥈

The team represented Aruba with passion, skill, and determination — showing that Aruba’s talent is real and present on the international R/C racing scene! 💪🏎️
