I just started a yoga nidrÄ training and it is fascinating to learn that this form of meditation guides you into an unusual mental state between sleep and wake. And exactly here is where the magic happens and your body begins to deeply restore and recover. The same happens when you are sleeping, but now you are aware.
Unlike many forms of meditation that require effort or concentration, yoga nidrÄ is deliberately effortless. You lie down, follow a voice, and you nervous system shifts to a rest-and-digest state. After a session it feels like you have slept for hours.

Cacao & Sound Healing
The ultimate way to relax is the combination of the heart opening effects of ceremonial cacao and the soothing vibrations of sound bowls and other traditional instruments. We begin with a little ceremony, mindfully drinking the plant medicine and a meditation. Followed by an hour just laying down, covering yourself with blankets and supporting yourself with props. And then enjoying the vibrations of sound as the ancient plant medicine begins to sink in.

A WANDERING MIND IS AN UNHAPPY MIND
Research conducted by Harvard University on Mindfulness shows that the human ability to think about what is not happening, is a cognitive achievement that comes at a cost.
Researchers suggested that how often our minds leave the present moment is a better predictor of our happiness than the activity itself we are engaged in.
Isnât that fascinating and an extra motivation to be present and practice mindfulness?!
