Meet Jade and her pup. Jade's story is like so many other dogs here in Barbados but with just the happiest outcome thanks to the awesome people from

Here it is...
My husband, my son and I tried for months to catch this sweet little girl who was extremely shy and living without a home roaming around the Garrison. We weren't able to as she was as wily as she was shy and we soon realised she was pregnant. We continued to feed her with the hope of luring her closer but to no avail.

The incredible Jennifer from OA came and trapped her one day in the pouring rain and took her to the sanctuary where she had her pups and was given so much love that she had no choice but to forget that she was scared.

Jade now loves the love. Her and her pups have learned the kindness of the unbelievably patient folks at OA and now have a totally new lease on life.

Two of her pups have already been adopted and moved to Canada and now it's Jade's turn. She will be heading to her forever home soon and it fills me with absolute joy to know that this beautiful girl will be loved and cherished for the rest of her days.

This is the work that Ocean Acres does. This is just one of countless stories of hope that they have facilitated. This is why I continue to support their mission and why our donations matter.
