There are some students who walk into your life and quietly change the way you coach forever, IYKYK! Abi is one of those students. From the very beginning, and I’m talking from way back when, again IYKYK, there were highs that made us feel unstoppable and setbacks that tested every ounce of patience, resilience, questioned our determination and made us super frustrated. There were hurdles in every sense of the word - figuratively and physically - but somehow, through every challenge, she kept showing up, fighting (again, IYKYK), but mostly importantly, believing.

Watching your riding over the years has been something truly special. From the very beginning, you showed determination, heart, and a willingness to work harder than everyone around you - something that has carried you to incredible achievements already.

What makes this journey even more remarkable is that you came back to Barbados with very little preparation and a lot of hiccups/prayers (IYKYK) for the FEI Qualifier & last two FEI competitions. You pulled off an incredible clear round in the Qualifier, a 🥈 at FEI 2 and now walking away with the win!!!🏆 My proud bag is exploding. 💥

If there’s one token I hope everyone takes from Abi’s journey, it’s this: your mind is the strongest tool in your toolkit. Talent matters, hard work matters, but mindset will carry you through the moments when everything else feels impossible. Abi is proof of that.

I am beyond thrilled to be a part of this journey again. It is truly one of my greatest honours to be your coach, cheerleader, karaoke partner and simply your stable-sister. The road hasn’t always been easy, but seeing the rider and person you’ve become makes every challenge, both ways, totally worth it. Remember, the best chapters are still ahead - keep believing and being YOU!
