Back pain is universal. You can either be weak with a bad back or strong with a bad back - the choice is yours.

At 66 I'm stronger than ever! I have been active and healthy all my life - amongst other things, I have run two marathons. But 6-7 years ago, I injured my back. The doctor said, "You have a large herniated disc, you have to be very careful!"⠀

It may sound strange with my background at Eleiko, but then I discovered the incredible benefits of strength training. My back is now perfectly fine. I feel strong and independent; if I travel by train, I lift the luggage myself and also, I can lift my grandchildren.⠀

It gives me confidence to know that I am strong. Being strong means that I can keep up when on a walk; good posture comes automatically when you have the strength. But it’s not just the physical benefits, it’s the mental health benefits too. When my husband passed away five years ago, I ended up in a slump. Strength training has helped me mentally - mind and body are as one. ⠀
