Summerhayes Tennis Club

We gathered our troops this weekend and met the Pure Tennis team on their home turf.
There No1 men soundly defeated our boys in the first match which was their only triumph.
From there on, Summerhayes team quickly dispatched the opponents for glorious victory! 😍

🎾What an enjoyable start to the 2025 season! 🎾
We locked horns with the very strong Tennis Center Group for every point.
In the end the TC held their ground, and we settle for second place

We faced off against the diverse Ocean View Club Team yesterday.
An early victory boosted their morals. However, it was rather shorted lived!

Summerhayes immediately closed the ranks and dispatched our guest with resounding efficiency. 😃

What a glorious day it was, and a fabulous start to the 🎾 2024 Interclub Tennis Competition.

We had the great pleasure of hosting the Pure Tennis team.

Absolute Legend! …❤️Uncle Jack.❤️

Our very own Uncle Jack celebrated his 90th birthday a week ago.

We were thrilled to have shared this milestone with Uncle Jack doing what he loves most. An afternoon of tennis, chatter, and delicious food!

90 years young and still willing to play three times a week with us.
He is an absolute inspiration to our club and we enjoy nothing more than to be regaled with stories of his past and the history of our club.

Uncle Jack, once again Happiest Birthday and we very much look forward to many many more wonderful afternoons playing alongside and against you. 😍

We are simply beaming with pleasure and excitement with our NEW world-class courts! 😍

Our club is made up of every manner of folks, from all walks of life.
So, happens that our dearest Peter Date is an engineer and the man for the job! 😊

Tremendous Thank You to Peter for overseeing this enormous, yet delicate undertaking. Like every project that’s well planned on paper, nature, measuring tapes, large equipment, and Murphy’s Law added a few more greys to Peter’s head 😊

To our Captain John Bayne , who without hesitation took up the baton when Peter fell ill, thus ensuring the timeline was kept and the finishing touches were just perfect! We Thank You!

Congratulations to Paragon Tennis Club for an outstanding victory.
We were eager to earn an overall victory in points to give us a buffer zone, however this fantastic team fought hard to deny us.

Victory well earned! And wonderful opponents they were :)
