What’s good y’all? 👋🏾 Welcome to my little corner of the interwebs! I’m Tanisha Cross and I’m the founder of Coach Cross Fitness, the home of get-it-done-able and keep-it-up-able fitness.
I’m a certified personal trainer, pre- and postnatal coach, nutrition coach and yoga teacher specializing in helping busy women and moms get their fitness groove on.
In high school I couldn’t stand P.E. and was most definitely athletically-challenged 🫣😂, so I never saw my career veering into the world of fitness *at all*!! But here we are, over a decade working in this industry and absolutely loving it.
A few random facts:
☀️ I speak French and Spanish fluently, plus a little Mandarin Chinese.
☀️ My favourite humans are my hubby and our two Littles, Zuri and Kamili 🥰
☀️ Bright colours bring me joy, but yellow is just the best colour ever 💛 (I said what I said 😌)
☀️ I’m obsessed with dancing and will find any excuse to buss a wine/wukup/twerk *anywhere*! Couldn’t get me to run a lap around the track back in the day, but play some music and it’s ON! 💃🏾
☀️ I used to compete in bodybuilding, winning my IFBB pro card in Fitness in 2014. Haven’t competed again since though… 👀
☀️ On my page, I don’t hide the side of mom life. I’m always gonna keep it real with y’all cuz it is what it is 😅

I empower busy moms to fit exercise, balanced nutrition and healthy habits into the chaos. Once the Tiny Humans bless us with their presence, they take over EVERYTHANG and making time to look after yourself comes second to looking after them. And you know what they say, you can’t pour from an empty cup and whatnot.
That’s why I teach ways to make fitness fit *into* your life as it is right now rather than trying to crunch your life into what we think fitness should look like with my Triple M Method: Movement, Moderation and Mindfulness.
I don’t do fad diets, crazy restrictions, excessive exercise or waist trainers. 🙅🏾♀️
On this side of the fitness world, we enjoy a little chocolate, sip on a little wine and sometimes do yoga to soca and 90’s R&B because if it’s not enjoyable, what’s the point? 😌

The kinds of things people say in my Free Up (stretch & mobility) class:
Me: ok, come into pigeon pose and let’s give this mobility drill a try *proceeds to demo move*
Them: 🤨🫤😒 ok fine.
Everyone gets into pigeon. Some do the drill.
Some don’t… and one person decides to fall out of it and lie back instead.
Person 1: “so wait, that’s a dead pigeon?”
Dead pigeon person: “caw caw!” and flaps “wings”
🤦🏾♀️🤣

I did not want to teach this week. There’s just been too much sadness and I just wanted to curl up under my sheets and do… nothing…
But I went anyway, and honestly, I’m so glad I did! Movement, dancing, music, sweating, hanging with some pretty cool people - it’s balm for the soul.
Thank you all for coming to my classes! Appreciate you so much.
And one day I’ll remember to take pics/video before half the class already rolled out… 👀😅
