There’s power in short daily positive affirmations. Small words can create a shift in how we feel, think and ultimately how we meet our day. What we repeatedly focus on can influence our mindset, emotions and the way we show up in life. Affirmations can act like little reminders of the person and energy you want to embody.
I am love encourages self-compassion, tenderness and openness. It reminds us of the magic of unconditional love.

They bring me a smile when I say these each morning or before I sleep and I hope you’ll notice the change. Read each one and try them.

I am light honours all that you are and shifts attention towards hope, possibility and positivity.

I am peace brings a calm attitude and gratefulness. It moves us away from the chaos in life and reminds us of our true self.

I am Beauty reminds us of our inherent inner beauty and goodness, the ultimate shining self.

I am Joy takes us to feel the happiness in ourselves and our good fortune and helps us celebrate the special moments that we have.

Bliss is the ultimate spiritual Divine happiness, it helps connect us to all that we are, our fullness and not separate but part of the greater whole.
Repeat all with meaning and belief.

Dani is in house and teaching from Monday 24th. We welcome her for a few weeks of teaching.

Dani teaches a strong yet intelligent, heart-led practice designed to build both physical strength and inner steadiness, supporting students not just on the mat, but in how they show up in life.

Dani has been practising with Pamela for many years, both on the island and on retreats, and is deeply inspired by the Anusara style. She is a huge admirer of Pamela’s teaching and the community she has created, and brings that same sense of warmth, precision and connection into her own classes.

Dani is honoured to be trusted with this magical studio in Barbados, and she looks forward to welcoming you into the practice.

Dani Grieveson is an executive performance coach and yoga teacher working at the intersection of wellbeing, leadership and high performance. Through her advisory work, Dani supports exciting leaders and high-performing teams to sustain energy, clarity and resilience in demanding environments, bringing wellbeing beyond the office walls and into the reality of modern, high-pressure lives.

Child’s Pose(Balasana)reminds us that rest isn’t something we have to earn. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is pause, breathe and receive. This is particularly important if you are always putting others first and rushing around in life.

Be still and soften instead of all the doing and watch what happens. Reap the benefits for your nervous system in addition to melting tensions away in many parts of the physical form. Watch and feel, practice awareness.

Nervous system & emotional benefits

* it encourages slowing down and turning inward
* Can feel calming and grounding when you’re feeling busy, stressed or overwhelmed
* The supported, folded shape can create a sense of safety and containment
* Encourages slower, more conscious breathing
* Provides a natural pause between more active movements
* Can help cultivate a feeling of surrender, rest and letting go.

Juice up as you get up.
Wake up your body and start the day right!

Before you reach for your phone, or start doing things for others give your self a little attention. ✨

A few loose wriggles, gentle stretches and easy movements can be enough to wake things up, get things flowing and bring a little more energy into your day. Start as you mean to go on.

No perfect shapes.
No workout.
Just move, stretch, shake it out and notice how you feel.

Let your body lead the way and start the day feeling a little more awake, alive and ready for life. 💛

Move outdoors to feeling free, lighter and more alive.

Sometimes the best reset isn’t to stop.

It’s to get outside.

Move your body.
Breathe in the fresh air.
Let your eyes wander beyond the four walls.

There’s a particular kind of freedom that comes from being active in the countryside — a sense of space, movement and possibility.

Come back feeling a little more awake and alive. 🌿

Best fun change if you are feeling tired and low. Get upside down. Move the prana( energy, vital life force). I often do a handstand if needing some vitality to go out in the evening!

Sometimes it’s not that we need to rest to recover, sometimes it’s about stirring things up instead sinking into deeper lethargy.

Let’s help the Prana to rise by activating ‘prana vayu’( one of the ‘winds’ of the body) that helps energy move upward and enlivens the energy within.
💫Downward facing dog is just one way to do this and fairly simple ( use bent knees if you wish, definitely broad hands for stable base). Enjoy the playful spirit after by adding a few hops towards a handstand. Enjoy the playful spirit way shift that mood awaken and feel alive.
Tell me if you notice the change.
Do you think that sometimes you are allowing the lazy feeling? Look after you and your energy levels.

Look up to the sky when you need a change of perspective. If your mind is frazzled, your heart is aching or you know you need to shift your mood look up at the sky.
💙This is one of my faves that has become a habit and I’d love you to try it. It takes you to your centre to see things totally differently and shift your state in a few moments. Maybe it’s not the situation that has to change but just see it in a new way.

The sky is so vast that it’s a reminder not to ‘sweat the small stuff’. It may help you remember your vastness or can make you feel small, in the positive sense of remembering the big picture.

It brings us to the essence of our self as we disconnect from the troubles and changes the view of a situation so that we re-connect to that which we are, pure source, not our worries and struggles. This reframing always brings a smile to my face and I hope it does for you as you take a moment to see a change of perspective opens up new possibilities.

Make it a new habit or take yourself back to something you’ve forgotten to do for you. Look up at the sky. 💙
