Appreciation post!
Our very own national coach Ian Weithers received an appreciation gift and accompanying letter from the Barbados Federation of Island Triathletes. Ian greatly assisted the junior athletes at their first Commonwealth Games ahead of their own management's arrival into the Games Village.
Be sure to give Ian a hand in the comments below! 👏

The Barbados Judo Association family joins in mourning the loss of Barbados’ fifth Prime Minister, Professor, the Right Honourable Owen Seymour Arthur. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones in this time of grief.
Prime Minister Arthur was instrumental in taking Barbados to unprecedented economic heights and was a champion of regionalism, laying the groundwork for CARICOM as we know it today. He exemplified the best of Barbadian industriousness and integrity. He will be missed.

“What kind of mirror image do you have of yourself? Let me tell you what kind of mirror image I have of you—that the people of Barbados would be able to run their own affairs, to pay for the cost of running their own country, to have an education system which is as good as what can be obtained in any industrialised country, anywhere in the world.”
