The St. Matthias Charity on May 30 was well supported as usual.

The event was keenly contested. D. Fung and L. Ridout placed 1st with 61 net. They won on the count back from I. Smart and W. Boucher. J. Stephenson and G. Fields placed 3rd with 62 net winning on the count back from K. Campbell and S. Murray. D. Phillips and N. Daisley placed 5th with 63 net.

The nearest to the pin prizes (Par 3's) were won by K. Wilson and I. Smart. K. Wilson and N. Daisley won the nearest to the pin 2nd shot.

The longest drive prizes went to K. Campbell and N. Daisley.

The 2025/2026 season finale took place over the weekend. Sol Worthing sponsored the event.

Alwin Browne was 1st with 38 points. J. Duncan placed 2nd with 36 points. Third place went to G. Richmond with 35 points. He won on the count back from M. Pearson and O. Crichlow.

P. Hiles and O. Crichlow won the nearest to the pin prizes.

Saturday's finale of the Wine World Stableford series was played in rather hot weather. But, the conditions did not preclude G.Thylen, B.Rollins and A.Browne from turning in sizzling performances.

G. Thylen shot 78 gross, equaling his best score ever. This resulted in him winning Flight A with 44 points. A. Browne shot 77 gross and had 40 points to take 2nd place.

B.Rollins won Flight B with 41 points. S. Lumsden took 2nd place 35 points winning on the count back from J.Bethell and J. Lumsden.

O. Crichlow won the low gross with 76. He had to contend with G. Thylen who kept him honest.

O. Crichlow emerged winner of the series in Flight A. His 3rd place on the day pushed over the line, finishing with 17 points. G. Thylen was next with 15 points (3 wins).

B.Rollins coming from behind, won the series in Flight B with 12 points (2 wins). C. Jn'Marie finished with 9 points.

Over the weekend, we had the annual match play event, WI versus the Rest of The World.

The Rest of The World won by 6 points, 21 vs 15.

Bob Rollins won Flight B with net 64. John Stringer was 2nd with net 65

Alwin Browne won Flight A with net 69 while David Dean was second with net 71

Newton Daisley won 1st gross with 76. He won on the count back from Damian Wilfred.

Saturday's St. Patrick's Day Scramble had a lovely turnout. There was some wind but it was hot.

K. Wilson and B. Coppin took the top spot with 60 net. C. Nicholson and C. Nash placed 2nd with 61 net. They won on the count back ftom The Thylens.

The best dress prize for the event went to the unstoppable D. Stringer and B. Rollins. Inspite of a change in the rules, they still won with new outfits.

Yesterday's Wine World Stableford tournament took place amid shady and windy conditions, joined by picture perfect blue skies. This along with the work of the grounds staff, translated to good playing conditions.

Z. Belgrave won Flight B with 42 points. A. Thylen placed 2nd with 40 points.

L. Gilkes won Flight A with 35 points winning on the count back from C. Chapman.

O. Crichlow was the player of the day. He topped Flight A with 37 points, and had the low gross (73). He took the prize for low gross as he was only eligible to claim one prize.
